Today is supposed to be cold wet and dreary. If all goes well I will be curled up on the sofa with our cats and a nice fire in the fireplace.

I'm re-reading the Wheel of Time series, capping it off with the 14th book, which I haven't read yet.

American Colossus: The Triumph of Capitalism 1865-1900 by H.W. Brand

It details the rise of American capitalism, the Industrialists (e.g. Carnegie, Rockafeller, Morgan) that set the stage of the imperialistic and idealistic America. The book is written in a popular, narrative style with little technical discussion or statistics. Yet the book is well-informed, thorough, and balanced. I was glad that the tone of the book wasn't either elegiac nor revisionist. While the author deals in a relatively straightforward manner with the positive aspects of the booming American economy, it also takes note and focuses on the seamier sides; such as racial tensions, corruption and labor conflict.

Huh, the artstyle looks a wee bit "dragon age-y"

I actually picked that one up a while ago! Just have't had a chance to read it yet due to my lengthy reading list (finally catching up on things, though).

Carte Blanche by Jeffrey Deaver. I was curious to see how his verison of James Bond would turn out (I've read all his Lincoln Rhyme novels - those are pretty good if you like a bit of a cross between Sherlock Holmes and CSI).
