Re-reading one of Terry Pratchett's books. If anyone on these forums hasn't tried him before now, you're missing a few geek points.

This, re-reading Guards,Guards at the minute. The books with Sam Vimes in are easily my favourite in the Discworld series.

Agreed!

If I had to pick a single favorite from the series, It'd probably be "Night Watch".

Biography, called Nureyev (he was a ballet dancer).

Although you did say fiction... Gone with the Wind is the next book I intend to (re)read so I could put that here I guess.

100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez. It's not at all like I expected it to be, but it is still very good.

I'm currently re-reading The Lord of the Rings again. It had been too long.

Hmm... I wouldn't say they're great as of yet. I'm on about page 300 now (Which is Sheepfarmer's Daughter) and whilst it's readable, I'm finding the journey very bumpy.

I'm reading The Second Sex by Simone Beu..blah..blah. It is one of those spur of the moment buys when cruising the aisles in Barnes and Nobles. Either that or I secretly want to seem smart.

Re-reading the A Song of Ice and Fire series again. Currently on 'A Storm of Swords'.

OP, if you aren't familiar with this series already, READ IT! It's the most fantastic dark fantasy series I've come across. They are releasing an HBO series in 2011 based on the books. They are not for the faint of heart, though! Includes nastiness like regicide, infanticide, rape, incest, torture, disfigurement, maiming etc etc.

And because no one asks me what I'm reading: halfhead.

Persuasion is great. S&S, P&P and Persuasion make up an unholy trinity of comfort books for me. :)

Why can't people talk like the people in her books?

I know...I'm a huge Jane Austen fan..books, movies, documentaries...

I watch P&P (A&E Version) at least once a month I think.. I just can't get enough.

Finally got around to reading the Dragon Age books. Almost finished with The Stolen Throne. It really hasn't been all too great imo. Not bad, but it doesn't seem to live up to the games.
