Of course, the book also had, to me, a bunch of new ideas and ways to articulate things. Essentially the book was a jumping off point to a lot of far more detailed wikipedia entries.

Finally finished this piece of craptacular unawesomeness. Its a survey book that briefly overviews the broad subject of Philosophy. Boring as hell.
101s in general tend to be either boring or lacunous, if not both. For an unboring jump into philosophy you could try one of the many '50 xxx ideas' books, or something like Bertrand Russell's History of Western Philosophy. I inherited an old copy and found it an engrossing read.

I`m starting this one:

(I really enjoyed reading "The Pillars of the Earth" by the same writer)

Older novel, but it is incredible and one of the better sports novels I've ever read.

The next instalment - The Ocean of Blood - was supposed to be available by June but seems to have been delayed until the 10th of July.

It's summer, so basically nothing. There's a series of short Dragon Age fanfics called "Dragonsteeth" that updates just about every Sunday (right now the updates are part of a miniseries where Duncan conscripted Hawke and Loghain got his hands on Carver, Bethany and Leandra), and that's about it.
Edit: Oh, and Darths And Droids. I read that when it updates too. Also I read Order Of The Stick when that updates, but that's barely worth mentioning on account of how infrequently it does so.

If you're wondering about my Michael Connelly binge, I'm trying to catch up on the last few Harry Bosch novels before the new one comes out - heh (this is one of my favorite crime/mystery/detective series).

And I might as well get the last two out of the way here (started on The Drop, and I'm finishing up with The Black Box).
