Be prepared to give up with The Calling. I didn't mind Stolen Throne at all, but The Calling is one of the few books I gave up on over halfway through.Crippledcarny wrote...
Finally got around to reading the Dragon Age books. Almost finished with The Stolen Throne. It really hasn't been all too great imo. Not bad, but it doesn't seem to live up to the games.
What are you reading?

That's disapointing. I was really hoping characters like Duncan and The Architect would make it a more interesting read.

I do like it so far, the tragicomic aspects in particular.

Without saying too much, don't treat the book as a totally 100% truthful prequel. You'll be more disappointed.Crippledcarny wrote...

Well I already see Awakening as a not 100% truthful expansion, lol.

YMMV, I liked more than TST. Gaider has a bit more experience writing books, and the story doesn´t feel like it was cut or rushed near the end.
Currently readin Dresden Files: White Night.

Totally agree about DA novels. Gaiders great at writing games, but there was something not quite right with his novels. Maybe because everyone did everything with a tear in their eye, i dont know

Yup, thats the guy. This is one of the cases where I can pronounce the name without problems but forget how to write it, much like Arnold Sw... damnit. And no, it doesnt matter how many times I check it, I forget it in 2 minutes.

The Last Wish is on my list books to read. I really didn't care much for the witcher game but I want to read some of the books before saying the entire series is worthless, lol.

They changed the ending? Maybe i will read it then. Its in the top ten for that genre. But after seeing the film i thought it would be a bit to 'horror' for me
