Just started with Tales of the Ketty Jay book 2: the Black Lung Captain, by Chris Wooding
The first book felt like a steampunk version of Firefly, which was rather awesome, and I hope book 2 continues with that.

Also now and then, in between other stuff, reading a few pages of A Short History of Nearly Everything, by Bill Bryson
Read most of it before, but that was in my native language, and this time it's in proper English.

Woah woah, this seems to be somewhat implying you didn't like Men at Arms, which is...well...woah. I don't think I've ever known anyone reading Discworld *not* to like Men at Arms.
Probably best to stay away from the other city watch books then, as mind boggling an idea as that is to me. Especially considering how awesome Night Watch is.

But to each their own I guess.

Huh? If I didn't like Men at Arms, I wouldn't be continuing with the City Watch ;)

No, I liked it, just not as much as Guards! Guards!

Guess the thought of someone possibly not liking Men at Arms made me simply forget that I could've misinterpreted things. Silly me!

Mmmm City Watch.

Now to continue wishing they'd adapt a Watch book for the next Discworld film, even though Sourcery is most likely gonna be it, probably meaning horrible David Jason as Rincewind again. :(

Nope, it's Unseen Academicals next. No idea why, but it does benefit from being a standalone book.

In the car, we're listening to what we always listen to this time of year:

A Night In the Lonesome October by Roger Zelazny.

Interesting!  I have seasonal books, too.  Fall I read classic ghost stories like Ancestral Shadows by Russell Kirk.

That looks interesting. I never knew Kirk wrote ghost stories! Thank you, we may start having a new family tradition.

Unseen Academicals is what I'm reading now. Though it'll have to do a lot to get anywhere near the Watch books. I love Vimes.

I recently finished Book 1 of the Stormlight Archive(The Way of Kings) and I must say, it was quite the read. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes fantasy. It's been a long time since I've read fantasy that good.

Anywho, I'm currently reading the first book of The Dark Towers series by Stephen King.

Ah, Carrot. I can empathise with his inappropriate use of, commas. :wizard:
