I'm surprised Wrex hasn't seen more attention on here... He's my favorite character in the series! I'm excited for ME3 because Wrex is in it, whether he ends up being a squaddie or playing a large role in recruiting the Krogan.

well i absolutely love wrex. its just i dont think he should be a squadmate. he's too badass to follow shepard around.

Agreed. Making him a sqaudmate would be a waste of his potential.

This is definitely true. Wrex is his own leader man, he isn't second to anybody, including Shepard. I hope his role is larger than ME2, whatever the case. Grunt fills the void of Krogan squadmate good since Wrex is in charge of the Urdnot Krogan anyway. Grunt wants a leader, and Shepard is probably the best leader he could ever have as a Battlemaster so I really don't see Grunt leaving Shepard's side anytime soon. I can see Grunt potentially leaving Shepard to join Urdnot and the end of Mass Effect 3 though.

I want him as a squadmate, but I agree with you.

yeah, i think that'd be the best choice. plus its an oppertunity to beef him up to be more powerful than normal squadmates just for that single mission. just because, you know...he's Wrex.

make the mission really hard, but beef up Wrex alot to balance it out so he's wrecking stuff left and right. i think that'd be awesome.

Pretty much this. In the ME universe, there are a handful of guys that are better combatants than even the Commander:

-Saren (beat Shepard the first time they fought, and was only killed when Shepard brought along two expert squad mates)
-Wrex. This Krogan would fight Shepard for hours, but in the end, he'd win 6/10 times. A good fight. Not to mention that he took out a Thresar Maw on foot by himself. Not even Shepard did that.
-Zaeed, provided he has Jessie. With his ****ty old rifle, Zaeed could probably also take Wrex, and just lay down the trigger fire, out gunning every enemy. Without Jessie, Zaeed would put up a damn good fight, and it would just come down to the environment.

I definitely like the idea of Wrex being a temporary beefed up squad mate. That's a good list as far as who is better than Shepard as well.

I love Wrex. He is the man.

But what I really like about Wrex is that he's really damn smart when it comes down to it. He's the most perceptive of all your party members in ME1 I would say - certainly the most experienced in life. There's something to be said for a character with the wisdom of an older adult. He lends an air of dry, ironic humor to the series that nobody else has because so few of your other characters have lived as long or have seen as much as he has. There's just no replacing epicness like that. Plus krogans are just cool anyway.

Grunt...well...I don't mind Grunt, but he doesn't have the wizened presence of someone who has been places and done things. He doesn't really know anything and because of that he lacks the complexity that Wrex possesses. That's just me though.

I have utterlly no respect for anyone who killed Wrex in ME1.
-You either rushed the game and didnt get enough Charm/Intimadate points. Which means your a idiot
-Or you didnt do his side quest meaning. Which means your a idiot
-Or you killed Wrex on purpose. Which means your an arse and a idiot.
