I would prefer a new character and for the story to be less.... rigid. By that I mean, from the very begining of each "Origin" you are forced down the Warden path and the whole Blight/Archdemon story is shoved in your face. I would prefer a looser story line, whereby you are free to explore a wider world and only after you've hit level 10 or explored so many places or completed so many quests do you recieve the "main Quest" -- does that make sense?

This is exactly what I want. I don't enjoy the critical path getting jammed down my throat 15 minutes into gameplay.

heh, you just reminded me about how cool BG1 & 2 were. . . there was actual intrigue 'nstuff as to your true destiny, and the quests you must embark upon to discover it. . . they were much more open world, maybe? I'd love that kind of thing to resurface in DA2, where the main quests and destiny aren't given to you in the first hour of gameplay. . .

If I wanted a new character and a new story I'd buy a new game. One of the most exciting features for me in ME2 was that you could import your character and the feeling that your choices actually impacted the story.
