For those looking for the best deals on picking it up at launch: Amazon.com and Wal-Mart.com are both offering free $20 gift cards for pre-ordering the game and Toys R Us is running a special promotion for Rewards Members on Tuesday from like 10am-12pm - if you purchase the game within that time, they give you a free $25 gift card.

Thanks for clearing that up Scy, everyone keep's assuming this is GTA4 on a horse and it's a whole different ball game, The fact that there both published by Rockstar and both use the euphoria engine is where the similaritie's end ..

I had my fingers crossed for its inclusion in DA:O, but it wasn't meant to be, sadly.

Forget about Red Dead Redemption. Who needs that when we got The Darkspawn Chronicles coming out tomorrow?

It's not going to be that great. Grand Theft Auto 4 got perfect scores from nearly every publication but the game turned out to be a tedious, repetitious, snoozefest. Rockstar obviously extorts publishers by threatening to withdraw advertisements if their games don't get good reviews.

While it is your opinion of what you think of Rockstar and the overall Grand Theft Auto story please do not try to derail the topic. This thread is about Red Dead Redemption not Darkspawn chronicles.
On a side note the reason I wont be getting DC is because it pure combat based if I want combat I play Bad Compnay 2 or something but when the strength of the game is its dialouge making a dlc purly based on combat feels out of place.

If crap like that can get a perfect score, I don't expect much from Red Dead Redemption.

I'm not trying to derail the thread, the subject is still about Red Dead Redemption. I think most Rockstar games are overrated. How could Grand Theft Auto 4 have gotten a perfect score when the game is so riddled with problems? It's glitchy, controls are clunky, and the huge world serves as nothing more than just a hub for a bunch of pointless mini games and dating sims which do nothing but prod out the time it takes to beat the game.
If crap like that can get a perfect score, I don't expect much from Red Dead Redemption.

If you dissagree, fine but I'm going to wait before I just accept what IGN says as gospel.

I wouldn't advocate getting reviews from a single source either. That's why I use Metacritic where they average all of the reviews. Check it out. Red Dead Redemption is off to a great start.Busomjack wrote...
