I disagree. I have nothing against new side missions unrelated to the main quest as long as they are done well.TelexFerra wrote...

this DLC sounds like such a joke. plays no role in the storyline whatsoever, go figure
Hey c'mon, you don't need to be so nasty.
I think he does have a point. If this is tied into the main plot, it will just be through a contrivence. I have nothing wrong with a big section unrelated to the plot, but it is underwhelming considering the tone of ME2.

blah i didn't realize my little comment would cause such a stir. only reason i said that is because Bioware is acting like people still haven't beaten ME2, so they're just throwing stuff at us that can be viewed as part of ME2's storyline. i just think it's time for these DLC's to start continuing the storyline, building up towards the finale a little bit.
I have a feeling that's what next year's early game release will be, not ME3, but an expansion back like DA:O-A, but w/ more supstantial story momentum.

Is anyone else worried about how all these DLCs (and the possibility of an expansion pack) will affect our saved game files? I'm concerned about there being issues with imported games when ME3 is finally released; there are so many additional game files to account for. -_-"
DLCs will likely pop up only as references (like Bring Down the Sky) although the Reaper image in Stolen Memory indicates I may be wrong. As for the expansion, I expect it to be a side story that's related to the main quest, but not story critical.
That way it can have a few minor effects on ME3 without requiring players to have played it to understand the story.

I hope the lvl cap is raised w/ this DLC inorder to compensate for the new patch getting rid of the X+A glitch to have a glitch/error free transfer to ME3, but are save files w/ extra skill pts still doomed?
I doubt it (this applies for both questions). First of all, why would Bioware raise the level cap for a 2 hour DLC? If the cap were ever to be raised it would make the most sense for it to be in an expansion, not a regular DLC.
Secondly, Bioware claimed that characters who used the infinite paragon/renegade cheat would be unavailable for transfer, yet those profiles were perfectly playable.

Only Chris Priestly was using the scare tactic regarding the Lorik Qu'inn glitch, while Brenon Holmes said it was perfectly fine. IIRC, Christina Norman however mentioned that using the Infinite Skill points glitch will FUBAR the data transfer for ME3 mainly because of coding-related screw-ups that may occur when doing QA testing.

A whole new world?
LMAO!
I admit it, i didn't see that that one coming.
I doubt that this will include another hub world but i'm geussing it will include multiple missions with lots of evil mechs to fight(maybe even a moral decsion or two). I saw an interview on Gamespot where Casey said this DLC was actually bigger than they planned so that gives me hope.

I find it hard to believe that having a couple of extra skill points will mess up a save for import. What about the glitch to get extra skill points using resources and the Skill training?
Do you work as a game programmer? I'm not being facetious here, I'm just asking because I don't so I don't know anything at all about how the save import system works so I can't make any qualified judgement on what is or is not feasable in the realms of skill point glitching.
I mean, I'd have to be some kind of immature imbecile to make an assessment about something I know absolutely nothing about, wouldn't I?

neither the one, nor the other... it has nothing to do with the main plot.... it's "just" a bigger N7-Sidequest

The OP has quotes about the hammerhead appearing in this mission.
How does this fit in if the player HASN'T downloaded the Hammerhead mission pack, where you obtain it?
Actually, that doesn't matter, seeing as how in that case you can just assume it was in the Normandy's hold all along.
Okay, what if I have downloaded the Hammerhead pack, but not done it yet. If I have both packs downloaded and start a new playthrough. Will I be able to do this mission, which apparently begins with the Hammerhead dropping us off somewhere, BEFORE then going off on a mission to... erm... collect the Hammerhead in the first place?
