You consider your former love interest cutting you off, ignoring your explanations, turning their back on you after you saved not just their life but the lives of everyone else in the colony, and no longer trusting in your morals and judgement when not 2 years ago you nigh single-handedly saved the Council and the entire universe from certain destruction at the hands of the reapers to be... staying consistent with their character?
Anderson stayed consistent with his character. "I don't agree with your choice of allies but I believe in you, Shepard, and I trust you enough to know you wouldn't be doing this without a damn good reason. I just can't be a part of it, sorry. Good luck and be careful." Ash/Kai's reaction was just... irrational.
And it made me hate her almost as much as I hated the turian Councilor after his infamous "Ah yes, "Reapers"..." remark.
Agreed completely! Espetially the bit about Anderson. "I don't agree with your choice of allies but I believe in you, Shepard,
and I trust you enough to know you wouldn't be doing this without a
damn good reason. I just can't be a part of it, sorry." - that's exactly the reaction I expected (and would accept from) Ash and Kaidan. Just couldn't put it to words as well as you did.
And let's face it - at least turian Councilor is hilarios=)
Ashley says much the same as the part you bolded in the email she sends. I wouldn't have expected you to work for Cerberus, but I understand why you are, etc. The text of the email was posted a few pages earlier.
I like Ash, and my cannon Shep is faithful to her, so I'm biased. Yes, the encounter on Horizon made my Shep more than a little upset, but knowing him (at least the way I RP him), he would've been suspicious/respected Ash less had she just joined the merry little ragtag multi-species team without hesitation. Say what you will, but Ashley isn't always rational (Shepard's the one with the cool head; as someone said earlier, they balance each other out) - and her response to seeing Shepard on Horizon is fitting with who we are led to believe that she is. Ashley's strong and proud, and sending an apology email means a lot coming from her. My Shep knows that, for what it's worth, and he appreciates it more because of it.

Well, I actually liked Ash's email, much more so than Kaidan's, anyway. That's why my maleshep is staying with her.
I just think that it is very big of him, much more than could be reasonable expected. And that he should not be blamed in any way if he'd choose not to stay with her. Still, "traitor" is not the word that can easily be taken back...
Kaidan's email is much worse, by the way. Half of the letter consists of guilt-tripping explanations of how miserable he was without Shepard (as if it's her fault she died, lol), and it ends in "maybe"s. After the words that were said on Horizon, "maybe" is simply not enough, sorry.

It's funny, you would think that Ashley would be the first to jump to Cerberus with her being a Racist and all. As for Kaiden, eh still wasn't very nice. Also you would think that they would at least give Shepard a chance to explain.

Being a racist in the United States doesn't mean you'd like to join the KKK and start burning black people's homes or rounding up "n***** lovers." There is more than one degree of prejudice and Ashley abhors Cerberus for entirely different reasons.

Asley is only real soldier (class) in the game and only squad member who is trained to use all weapons. Her hate to Serberus is little over done, but that's okey. She see's Serberus as terrorist and that is what they have been in many cases. So it could be little shock that her hero is working with terrorists. Of course after saving her life, I ques I expected her to listen more, than she did. I don't blame Asley to be loyal to System Alliance, it's good job and she has become far from Eden prime times.
My female Shepard did save her. I take her anytime battle with me. We need good soldiers in coming war agaist reapers.

But as always anyone who hates ash always fails to see things from her perspective, they can understand why tali and the qaurians hate the geth and they can understand why the Krogan hate turians and they can even understand why TIM dose bad things, but they cant understand why ashley feels angry and betrayed.

Quite understandable. People tend to be more objective about conflicts that do not concern them, and be somewhat irrational about those who do. I am certainly not unbiased=)
Anyway, it is much easier to understand, explain and even excuse the wrongs done by others to others than the ones done to yourself. And people tend to identify with Shepard much stronger than with random turian, geth or some unknown victim of TIM.

so true, still its always good to look at things from the middle ground and examine things and get all the facts before a person gose on a rant about why such in such is a horrible person,or dose horrible things.the best example i can think of is a movie called Fearless by Jet li.Beholderess wrote...

Oh, Ask is not a horrible person, never said she is. I just don't feel like she and Shep have anything in common anymore. But again, such opinion is not objective cos' it 1) Personal and 2) Depends heavily upon each person's own interpretation of love, friendship, respect, trust and exact relationships between these ideas
