I have been enjoying Steam for Mac since its official launch today, and was quite surprised by the relatively strong launch lineup.
Steam has done a great thing with Steam Play. For anyone who is unaware, with Steam Play, you purchase once and can play on both Mac and PC - the way it should be. I really hope Dragon Age gets the Steam Play treatment, since it is already available for Mac. Is there any news about this? I have never been an EA hater, but this is the first time I am actually nervous about them having their hands on BioWare. They seem like the juggernaut that would ignore such a great, forward thinking service. I hope I am wrong! Dragon Age is my favorite game (series) of all time, and I would love to play subsequent games in Mac OS instead of Bootcamp.
Will we get a Steam Play Mac version?

I've been waiting for the Steam release for Mac, I'm very excited about it.

I have it and it seems to work great. I've been playing Portal and Torchlight through Steam. The Steam interface is clunky and ugly as heck. Clearly, no Mac designer ever touched that one

I REALLY like it. I have no trouble at all with the interface, though I use the minimal one mostly, and it appears they have done a polished job on it. I even added DAO to it.

i also like the interface... the only problem w/ the new version is no server checking (players/latency) outside games... but other than that its much nicer than the older GUI.

I'm thinking "not a chance"; I don't think Valve allows abandonware on Steam.
Looking forward to spending more money on Steam, clearly not on EA products though.

I used to play Half-Life Anthology through Steam some years ago, which ran very well on Wine.
Worked like a charm, apart from some graphic glitches in the Steam interface. But of course, the game itself is ten years old...
