hey all, I finally got through all of the sloth/fade section and am now fighting the sloth demon.  I have killed him 6 times so far and he just keeps respawning.  He starts out as the one you talk to, then switches to the blobby guy and then back and forth.  Everytime I get him to zero health he immediately respawns at full health.  Is this a bug, or do I have to kill him a certain number of times, or kill him a certain way?....I am stuck, any help would be appreciated.

He changes forms, think you have to kill him 4-5 times in various shapes, final one is the spirit lich thing, if he keeps on respawning though, then it sounds like a bug

You have to fight him around 4-5 times and changes shape each time. Hope this helps

YOU DONT FIGHT HIM.

I went through it without fighting sloth at all.Instead I convined my spirit guy to be strong and to not run away from fights. I was careful NOT to anoy the sloth demon. I answered the three riddles correctly. And I got the Valor staff as well, no issues.

And..well, you will learn. But..you ..how to say this..it sounds to me like you do not grasp the clever quest line AT ALL. Did you not pay attention to what they were saying..how the fade tries to play with you..do not fight the sloth demon. Instead, get the sloth demon to help mouse turn into a bear. And finally..

at the end...

..you dont TRUST your mouse companion...

Thanks for the help.  Apparantly it was bugged.  He wasn't moving either from the center.  I restarted and that time he moved around and changed to the different forms.  Still had to kill him like five times, but at least he finally died ;p

You are talking about the Mage origin quest, we're talking about the Circle Tower quest, if you are not at this point yet, you will see
