Mass Effect 2 Gets New "Man vs Robots" Downloadable Content - mass effect 2 - Kotaku

Mass Effect 2 Overlord DLC Impressions - Xbox 360 Previews at GameSpot

According to executive producer Casey Hudson, Overlord is the "biggest
downloadable content pack yet" for Mass Effect 2. Available in June for
560 points(£4.60, $7),
"Early on, the hammerhead zips over the surface of a scenic, verdant
world, grazed on by alien cows and edged with mountains. Some side
areas offer Cerberus posts with turrets to take out."

EA
has revealed the next significant paid add-on for Mass Effect 2. It's
called Overlord and will be available in June for 560 Microsoft Points
(£4.80/€6.70).

Overlord presents a storied mission based on a
hub planet, according to IncGamers. The new Hammerhead tank will
transport you from mission to mission. There are no new weapons and no
new characters, just the story of an evil AI ordering robots around.

The content will apparently last around two-and-a-half hours.

IncGamers - BioWare Reveals Mass Effect 2's Overlord DLC | IncGamers

BioWare has revealed that we'll see another Mass Effect 2 DLC pack next month.Titled
Overlord, the pack sees Shepard and co going through five missions on a
planet where experiments on humans and Geth have been taking place, in
an attempt to stop a strange human/machine hybrid intelligence. The
Hammerhead vehicle will function as your means of transport around the
"hub" section of the planet, between the missions. We've been told to
expect a bit more of a horror vibe from the DLC, as well as bits that
go a little Tron. It's all about the stand-alone story and the extra
missions, though: don't go expecting new characters or new
weapons.Overlord is due out in June for 560 Microsoft Points, according
to exec producer Casey Hudson, and will apparently feature about two
and a half hours of content. We've got plenty more details on it, so
stay tuned for our full preview and our chat with Hudson.

Playing as John Connor. :)

Wonder if it will start with the same theme music as the movies. Since they're AI's, it would be awesome.

http://gamer.no/arti...s-til-sommeren/

It is in norwegian, but I can translate:

"I likhet med utvidelsen «Kasumi – Stolen Memory» som kom i begynnelsen av april, vil også denne utvidelsen koste penger, nærmere bestemt 560 Microsoft-poeng. Den nye pakken byr imidlertid ikke på flere figurer som Kommandør Shephard kan innlemme i ensemblet sitt:"

Translated:

"In similarity to the DLC Kasumi: Stolen Memory that came in the beginning of April, this package will also cost 560 Microsoft points. This package does not however include any new squadmembers."

*spoiler*

This article also reveals that the arch enemy in this DLC is a Geth-leader who co-joined an AI.

you should probably put a spoiler warning in your post iharal. many people don't want to know any of the content of this DLC.

edit - also, could the OP please reduce the cap spam in the thread title?

... Last time I checked, didn't the Geth not HAVE leaders? What's the point of a hyper-fast collective decision making process if you have a leader making decisions anyways, or how the heck is it a leader if it doesn't make any decisons, because they're all made collectively?

John Connor from Terminator movies.

Fights against the machines.  It was a joke about the similarities in story.

Legion has multiple Geth personae that allow it to speak and function independantly of the Collective.

The Geth leader may be similar only composed entirely of bundled AI software ala Skynet from the Terminator mythology rather than inhabiting a weapon platform as Legion does.

Pure speculation on my part.

I checked out the article.  The enemy AI sorta looks like a male version of VIKI from I,Robot or a more modern version of the Master Control Program from TRON.

EDIT:  Wow, three Terminator references in as many posts.  The references are glaring and those that missed that may be forced to give up their geek licenses. Image IPB
