I'm replaying Mass Effect 2 and want to get full renegade points, how do I go about doing this?

I want it to reflect sheperds death and ressurection which I think would make him an insane psychopath in real life.

I also want to play a really really evil/bad person!!:)

Always pick the bottom right or left (red) option in coversation. Always use the Renegade interupt when it becomes available.

Importing an ME1 character who had a full renegade bar and selecting the evolved class skill that gives 100%+ to Paragon/Renegade instead of 70% helps a ton.

The hardest part of being 100% renegade is being mean to your crew.

Although I did lolz when Miri is torn at speaking to her sister, and says "we should go" and Shepard just goes "Ok. Let's go."

MEWiki's Morality guide for ME2 it hasn't got everything listed in there but has a good majority of them.

As others have stated though, it just a case of doing all the renegade interrupts, picking the red intimidate options when available or picking the middle to bottom right choices during conversations.

You'll get some good points from sacrificing the crew rather than giving them an escort as well of course as saving the base ;)

You are going to feel hella bad, but yes. Be a jerk. Lots. Also, side with Morinth over Samara. If you are starting from the very beginning, choosing earthborn, ruthless character backrounds gives bonus renegade points in ME1. Dunno how much that carries over into ME2 though...

Can someone clarify: if you romance someone THEN brutally dump them, does this give more renegade than simply not romancing in the 1st place, or is it about 50/50?

Be ready to kill a lot of people.

That's one thing I don't like about pure Renegade, you will end up some way or another killing a whole bunch of people, and leaving them not to import into the next game. Fist, Conrad Verner, Shiala, Gianna Parasini, etc., end up dead and not in ME2 if you go pure Renegade.  You should expect the same going into ME3.

You don't really have to select specific classes who give you a bonus.

If you pick the right dialog options and the interrupts, it will be just fine, even if you start with a low mark on renegade.

And don't heal shepard's scar... it will look a hundred time more badass as the scars start glowing when you get enough renegade point. Very Sith Like.

Sadly true.  I just can't do it either.  I'v ended up being nice to most of the crew and a hardass with the people I don't like....mostly just Jack lol.

Although I will say with Zaeeds loyalty mission if you opt to not save the people you get nice Renegade points...but be ready to finish the rest of the mission with people screaming as they burn alive in the background...*shudder*

You can do it more easily if you import an already-Renegade ME1 Shepard (as Ecael stated), but it can still be done with a new character, but not quite to the same degree. And yes, being a total a**hole to your crew/squad does give a wealth of Renegade points over time, but it's really, and I mean really, not easy to do. You'd basically have to be a walking curse on the Normandy. If you really see yourself wanting to do it, go for it. It helps a lot, actually.

I just have this overwhelming urge to be an evil sob to everyone and I thought why not try in ME2. To me this is the best part of the game I can be either good/evil or i'm normally 50/50.

How do you get morinth on your team by the way? Iknow it can be done.

Alot of people were justifying letting the people burn as this showed taking hostages would not work with terrorists etc...

You don't have to do EVERYTHING renegade, I got maxed out Renegade on my Inf without being a complete jerk to my Crew. Just import a game from ME1 with maxed Renegade, grab the 100% passive, and do all the major renegade checks.

As for getting Morinth, you need a high enough Paragon or Renegade score, and then use charm/intimindate options when you're in her appartment. That way, when she fights Samara you can choose to kill Samara.

I recommend going after Samara's loyaly mission as soon as possible as its easier early on and gets harder the further into the game you go.  The game uses a internal %  based on the possible renegade/paragon choices you've made.  The sooner you go after the loyalty mission the less amount of choices you'll have had to have made, thus making things easier.   Probably easier to do a quick search in he forums for Morinth to find the link to the official BioWare Dev post on it.  Probably explain it better than what i just did.  Ive linked it before but honestly Im to lazy to look for it myself.  I know its actually easier as paragon than renegade too.

This is very true.

I finished with full renegade (awesome face!) and was nice to my crew.  I also saved the lives of the wounded Salarian in Dantius towers and prevented that kid from going after Archangel.  Renegade does not necessarily mean you need to be completely cruel.

I actually prefer some of the renegade choices and will select them even during Paragade runs.  Hearing "I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite store on the Citadel" in five different stores makes you look like a two-faced douche and that's the Paragon choice.

Yeah, but you also look like douche when you throw a temper tantrum in the Citadel souvenir shop and start yelling that the proprietor is classist just to get a discount.

Very true but it's a funny scene.

The souvenir shop is really the only one I'd rather give the endorsement. Shepard looks stupid either way but the Paragon choice is lesser. IRL I'd tell TIM I needed more money for outfitting my crew and wouldn't ask for a discount at all.

I have only one more question

If I choose to create an entirely new sheperd would this directly affect my current one?

As I have invested a great deal of time making him look just like me I don't really want to loose him

I'm not too sure what you're saying, but creating a new Shepard won't and can't affect any other existent Shepard's. Each created/imported Shepard is a separate character with its own universe.
