The Mass Effect team is pleased to announce the next episode of DLC  - Overlord!

When sent to investigate a Cerberus research base that’s mysteriously gone silent, Shepard arrives to find Geth overrunning the base. The sole survivor, Chief Scientist Archer, paints a dire picture: an experiment to fuse a human volunteer with a virtual intelligence created a dangerous hybrid “VI overlord”. The rampaging VI has already attacked three other Cerberus bases, controlling any technology it finds in an attempt to break free—and unleashing Geth across the planet. Unless Shepard can infiltrate the VI’s fortress and shut it down, this homicidal intelligence will beam itself-off planet and wreak havoc on other systems. The action unfolds over five new level areas, with two new achievements.

Overlord is available on both the PC and Xbox 360 and costs 560 Microsoft or BioWare Points.

the 2 acheivements have 25 points between them.

Overlord will be gold standard Bioware quality (think Kasumi - but longer). VO based conversations, cutscenes, strong narrative.

It's 5 full missions (one of them being a vehicle based hub) - and just wait until you see the boss.

Also, plz to be keeping spoilers out of this thread? Dunno if the news/announcement forum is considered spoiler-free or not but mebbe peeps who don't want to read spoilers yet will be in here looking for support and such and some posts are getting close to spoilery.

Overlord does not require 1.02 patch.

we're working on fixing this as we speak.

for now, you can just get it from the main Xbox live download page.

Once youve downloaded it and once its installed, you dont need a connection to play it.
