.....Personally:

Just downloaded it, after got some more spare cash:

1.No conversations... from anyone.. I mean Garrus? had nothing to say... Tali??... JAcob??? and of course... Legion?

2. The ratio of "space/firefight"... is no better than 3 planets in ME1... and we have to pay for it???....They took out planet exploring, to sell it back to us?.... duno why I get that feeling.... then agai EA is the big dad behind bioware... so I shouldnot be surprise.

3 . Conclussion. This made me come to a realization, a disappointment, and fear of what comes.
First "mayor" DLC I have downloaded... never will get one again, not because it sucks, or it was poorly made, and the amount asked for it was reasonable. But because, if "overlord"... was something Bioware worked hard at... then I honestly dont see them doing a good job at all connecting ME2, and ME3 through DLC's.

If Overlord's Price was 560... for what ME1 would translate into 3 empty planets with 3 bases of near like enemies?..... wow I dont want to know what we will end up paying for actualy "story connections" into mass effect 3. If Bioware isn't going to do an expansion... and instead going with multiple DLC's... we will end up paying almost for what an expansion would cost, but without the depth, length, diversity, and quality of one.
-----
In the end, is not a bad dlc, dont get me wrong, I liked it... but if this is what 6 bucks brings "this" (overlord)...

Then either, we will shell quite a bit of money... or have a few DLC's that sort of connect the two games in the easiest, less complicated, yet most profitable way possible...

-----------

Now, relating to the atmosphere, ... dialogue, and graphics:

Atmosphere, very nice, tension, dread... and the ending... god i wanted to jump into the game, and put the proffessor in the place his brother was, and just leave him there.
very good with atmosphere... not alot of story... you just find at the end most of it... Still good.

Dialogue....well is 3 guys, 1 is fighting, the other one is hiding, and the 3rd one is a prisoner at the end... question would be.... "what dialogue" because there isn't alot. Garrus had nothign to say?.... Tali?... Jacob????... and Legion? really? I expect legion to had some unique dialogue... or icons I could press for him to give his opinion, something, throw a pie somewhere.... nice shooter time but it was empty of emotions until the last 10 minutes.\\

Graphics... well I guess is EA, all they care is about looking good, so.... take it for what it is, good and bad.

In reply to Spartas Husky's thoughts, here are my thoughts in response (free speech baby): It's obvious someone couldn't get past the fact Bioware did not bust their budget on this DLC by rehiring all the squadmates' voice actors for a couple lines of dialogue (they also made situations so Shep was separated from the squadmates during important conversations w/ Archer so we wouldn't expect lines there). I don't like it too, but don't let the hate spill into raging on your entire review, also putting down future DLC that might be good at bridging the games (why not wish for it to be good?) while insinuating they cut this content to make us pay for it (this was Bioware's attempt at doing something different, in this case, fear/System Shock atmosphere, obviously not made before its release) and using the EA card (blame them for where its legit, like the Cerberus Network made to screw gamers who rent ME2, but don't say: I don't like this, EA did it, explain to us why you actually hate it).

In any case, your money and your opinion so don't buy the future story-based DLC. I know I will, unless... you know, Bioware totally messes up or something. Then God help us all.

hehehe, it was ment for the team developing the DLC'S.
I stated I liked it, read it again. If your definition of 'hate' is stating the sky is blue then I can't really... say anything to that.

Merely worried with the current track record.
I like this game, and just by saying "dont like it dont buy it" in support of somewhat mediocre job done with Overlord coming from those who did Mass Effect 1, ... and by extent Hammerhead doesn't change the fact that their  history of dlc quality is not looking so good.

I hope they do better of course, I like this game, and criticism was given above can't really be made any more clear. But hopefully the current trend changes or I will have nothing to until weekends :P.

But hoping the current trend of: "pay for: the obviously missed, sight seeing, and near mute firefights" changes, while the brand "EA" hangs overhead... is like hoping it would rain multiple times in one day at the desert.

Does EA make it rain sometimes?... sure, but EA already made it rain a lot with DA:O and ME2.
And ME2 dlc's dont give a nice forecast.

Still to the last remark you made... is unessesary, if I dont liek it, of course I wont buy it, but defending mediocre work from the great team who came up with ME1, and 2 when they have already done things dozens of times better... is ackward... although pinnacle station is a bit of an exception :P
Still with beer in hand:wizard:, here is to the 2nd storm that is ME2, to pick up again^_^, because from the looks of it, is not even a  drizzle anymore:?. Otherwise, they might as well to an expansion instead.(not a fan of expansions )

To Spartas Husky: fair enough. Side note: but you can't compare the work of a DLC to an entire game in a clean-cut fashion to say that a particular piece of content is mediocre, as they are two different beasts; with ME2, I see that Bioware is approaching DLC as content they cut really early in development and now have a chance to bring it back to life. In any case, we'll wait for the next storm with equal anticipation and admiration for the Bioware team and hope they do their fans proud.

Just got done with my second overlord play through, and I have to say I really love just about everything about this DLC. The music was awesome, and the geth laser part was pretty neat as well. However, I wish my teammates would have lines during the mission. I don't remember Tail & Thane saying anything in my first play through, not even basic combat lines, neither did Zaeed. Jack was the only one who had any combat lines, one was hello dead people. The other line was right after my Shep **** slaps the scientist, the dude falls and starts to cry, and then all of sudden you hear Jack scream their right on my ass! It was so random and oddly place I started bursting out laughingImage IPB

I know, I'm so late, but I just downloaded and played Overlord yesterday. Kick. Ass.

Ending was a bit over-emotional for me, though.

Loved the combat overall.

I bought the DLC yesterday, worth the price. Much longer than that of Kasumi. Hammerhead good use of a different and beautiful planet. An interesting story and an atmosphere of terror had not seen in the main game. Many new and well made. Only a failure, the dialogues of the teammates do not exist, a real shame. But this is the way forward in the DLC.

I'm hoping that this, along with other DLC from ME2 to ME3, is actually going to have an impact on the import you make into ME3. The prospect as a Renegade player that humanity could be capable of controlling the Geth entertains me greatly. Likewise, I loved this DLC. The bases seemed a little empty, but the ending made up for this greatly. When I saw David shackled into that device, all I could think about was how the **** Party in Germany used Jews as medical experiments to gain a better understanding of the human body.

Just please oh please BioWare, make this DLC and others like Lair of the Shadow Broker actually have a real impact on ME3.

Just finished this with the firepower pack on insanity and must say that I l loved it!

The tone was a nice change of pace and the action was great!  This had way more depth and substance than the Katsumi pack (although Katsumi has become one of my favorite characters!)

The enemy AI in the vehicle missions seems improved compared to the firewalker pack, which is welcome. Still, I find myself wishing vehicle combat had more depth. How about more moving targets?

My crazy dream:
Squad based VEHICLE combat, where Shepard drives Hammerhead, and your teammates are in Makos. Now that would be cool...

I'd rather have that each squad member provides a 'bonus' for your hammerhead. Tali makes it repair faster, Grunt makes it take more, Garrus makes it more accurate, legion makes it fire faster etc...

I played this for the first time last night...pretty decent adventure, but I couldn't find the last Cerberus Data Pack (collect all 6 for the achievement). Anyone know where I could find a map or directions to finding all of them?

yeah its an OP dlc whit a WINWIN! battle music. One thing that whould give this dlc 5 stars was to have the squad members say something, legion above all

Wow what a ending. A pity about that bug though. A good DLC. I don't mind paying for it.

Loved this dlc. Gorgeous graphics, especially in 'matrix mode,' great atmosphere and good use of the Firewalker. I also liked the humour from the vehicle A.I, the boss battle fail 'ending' and the Frogger style lava river.

Only thing was no loot reward and no option (that I found anyway) to kill Gavin Archer.

So! I this DLC is awesome so far. Love Shepard's quips and whatnot. I love the graphics and sound and atmosphere of it too.

"Analysis: defenceless heribivores are no match for guided missiles," made it worth the price alone.

The planet scenery was gorgeous. And although there's no dialogue from my squadmates, it was interesting (and poignant) to see them helping with the clean up when we first meet Archer.

......can we please get DLC featuring Kaidan and Ashley next? :D

Sorry, there is no comparison, Overlord is better than Bring Down the Sky, and way better than Pinnacle Station.

I don't know what one you missed, but an easy one to pass by is below that little rock bridge on your way to the first site, I think it's called Vulcan, in the hammerhead.  It's guarded by two heavy mechs.  You have to jump down the little ravine.

Hope this helped.
