It's impossible to know any real details of this upcoming mission but from OP's post it certainly sounds like a simple shooter DLC. Skipping thru all the fan's posts here and everywhere else across the forum, it seems obvious to me that the ME shooter side of the game has been thoroughly milked. On the other hand, fans unanimously and continually keep begging BW for more plot.
We're in a limbo period while we endure the long wait for ME3. A shooter DLC will only allow us to spin our wheels in the meantime.
Using Dragon Age as a learning tool for BW, 'Awakenings' (plot driven) was a win, while 'RTO' (plotless) was a fail. I sure hope BW hasn't fallen asleep in class while the 'Overlord' lesson is covered.
Plot requires voice acting, which is difficult. Furthermore, using Awakenings as an example of a "win" is sort of subjective. Lots of people like it as a standalone story, but just as many were frustrated by the sudden disappearance of their entire case of characters save a Dwarf. It looks like BioWare is attempting to make this DLC pack a plot-based story, but are largely making it a self-contained plot.
I'm excited, personally.

I must say that I have high hopes for this DLC, sounds like it could be entertaining.
However, I would like to know if many of us are wasting our time hoping for Liara/Shadow Broker DLC, just a little hint BioWare, is that too much to want?
It absolutely is too much to want.
Because if for some reason it can't be done they'd have to close the board for all the outrage that would ensue.
Far better for everyone involved (including you) for BW to say nothing.

Sorry if this is a stupid question or if it has already been answered but where did it say or show in the screenshots that you get to use the hammerhead?

Also, is this a mission or the full-fledged "expansion" that we keep rumbling about?

OK, so I got that it will take approximately two hours to complete with two new achievements. What else is it going to give us in game? Not that I dislike ME or ME2 in any way; I am just beginning to get a little bummed out with the dissappointment.

No, it's a 7 dollar DLC. An expansion will set you back 30 or 40 dollars.

I agree completely, We'll keep asking questions to their "half" answers. and this will probably continue until a day or two before it is released

Either way, this DLC sounds fun enough in the mean time.

What is this expansion I keep hearing about? I thought BW specifically said that there would be NO expansion for ME2. Is there a link or some place in the forum that specifies BW has changed their minds? Thanks.
Could play the counter argument to that and state where is a link or forum where they specified there would be NO expansion for ME2.
As for one to state that there could potentially be stuff going up to the size of an expansion pack
There is this article
Amazing what you can find when you type 'Mass Effect 2 expansion' into google

I see what you mean, but I'd rather they work on an expansion pack instead of this micro stuff to fill the gap until then. And ME3 is, from what I've heard anyway, not really making any engine changes from ME2, so it'll take less time to make.Fingolfin09 wrote...
i dont think that an expansion would be good. dlc items and quests sure but not an expansion i think that we should all just wait for ME3.

Saying ME1 is better then ME2 is downright wrong.
Most of the same team worked on both games, and what most fans (and critics) would say about preferring ME2 to ME1 is:

Of course, some people will then label her/him as a blind fan, and those who prefer ME1 to ME2 would say:

One is a compliment for improving the game, the other is an insult for downgrading it. One will criticize the game and/or its characters while the other will criticize its fans and/or the employees who made it.
You'll notice that people who defend ME2 in comparison to ME1 can't and won't call the other side fanboys/fangirls of Mass Effect or BioWare, because they're both Mass Effect games made by BioWare. Thus, it's extremely ironic to accuse someone of this on a BioWare forum, especially if you've posted there for years.
Honestly, I bet some people would go as far as saying the Mass Effect 2 logo sucks compared to Mass Effect 1 and anyone who disagrees is a blinded BioWare fan:

Very well explained Ecael; logical and to the point, I like it. However, by commenting on what you've said the 'your not a true fan because ' will most likely start within the next few posts.

That wasn't my point, I think.
Let's say someone prefers ME1, because...
- a lack of "RPG elements" in ME2 (exploration, inventory)
- his/her favorite character gets assassinated (not Nassana)
- a better story in ME1
- better side missions in ME1
etc.
It's 2 and 3 for me and I was just surprised that I am "wrong".
I don't know what the fanboy discussion has to do with it. ME2 isn't exactly Dink's favorite Bioware game, I think everyone here knows it^_^
He's one side of the spectrum, "darknoon" and "Sir Ulrich" (and his choice of words wasn't better) the other side.
