I'd be fine with that, personally. But I think you'd run into opposition from people that associate Mass Effect completely with Shepard. The same way you had opposition in Metal Gear Solid 2 and the upcoming Metal Gear Rising when you're playing a character other than someone in the Snake lineage.Malanek999 wrote...
I think story linking DLC would be a good chance to play as someone other than Shepard. The comics have sort of covered things off but playing as Liara in that period could have been interesting.Rive Caedo wrote...
So... uh... do you want to play the part where most your companions leave your squad because you're not doing anything important besides looking for Geth aimlessly or do you want to play the part where Shepard isn't even playable due to having a mild case of death?Nozybidaj wrote...
How about some DLC connecting ME1 to ME2???
There was small part where you could play as Joker in Mass Effect 2 and I thought it was funny as hellRive Caedo wrote...

And, to a certain degree, the same opposition people are having to Darkspawn Chronicles on the other side of the Bioware pond right now. There are other reasons some people don't like it, but some are just flat out: "I only want to play my Warden."

I told TIM to go F*** himself while nicking his ship, my Shepard hates Cerberus and only worked for them because she was forced into it against her will, so why the hell would I care that Cerberus bases are being attacked?
Because Cerberus is a human group, and if the Council knew that we were experimenting with AI technology they would be pissed off. Again.
And beside that, "Unless Shepard can infiltrate the VI’s fortress and shut it down, this homicidal intelligence will beam itself-off planet and wreak havoc on other systems." You don't want that.

I wouldn't mind seeing a trailer to this new Overlord DLC like they did with the other DLC, (Kasumi Goto, Bring Down The Sky, ect)

Well that pretty much sounds like system shock 2.

The MAKO was fun to drive! The Hammerhead is horrid. I gave up when I realized you couldn't even save when driving it. And he talks about... platform..... levels...... like.....a.... *wince* ....platform-game???
Uh!
I guess I'll wait for some DLC without that thing.
Also, the Mako always seemed like a mix of a platform game and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater to me:

Fair enough then.
Hmmm, I wonder if it'll let me time it so that I only save the universe ( again ) just as Cerberus gasps it's last breath.
I still wish they'd come up with something that had nothing to do with Cerberus though.
If we're to base it off Kasumi:PARAGON87 wrote...

If this DLC is as significant as BioWare is saying it is, it's just a matter of time before we get a trailer.

I'd love something where I'd get an option to kick Cerberus somewhere it hurts. It is so frustrating in ME2 that I hardly ever got an option to vent my disgust at the organisation.

The vehicle also makes sense, a solid, sturdy tank-like thing, that can take a beating, and give one.
The Hammerhead, on the other hand..I know it's a game, and what has realism to do with anything, but honestly, a fighting hovercraft? It takes a hit from something and goes sailing all over the place. On top of that it is as fragile as an egg-shell.
And the the stupid missions where you have to jump around and avoid lava or jump somewhere impossible with a timer on... Donkey Kong in space. I ~hate~ platform games!
The Mako was a means to transport and fighting, not an excuse to make silly missions. It could drive just about everywhere, and even if was sometimes hard to control, it was still a good vehicle. The Hammerhead seems to be an excuse to cook up kid-stuff. If they implement a save-option, I may give this DLC a shot, otherwise there isn't a snowballs chance in hell I'll pay for it.
If there was any logic involved, the Normandy would just be equipped with a gunship. That would be cool!

To me, Mako = Move back and forwards until you kill enemies.
Hammerhead = Bounce up and down until you kill enemies.
I did enjoy the way the hammerhead controls though, and thought that as little platformers interpsersed throughout the game they worked. So from that stance, I have no problems with some stunt driving. The shuttle can get anywhere that the Mako could, it's the Hammerhead's agility that makes it special.
It's just the combat of the Hammerhead that I want tightened up. The aiming system is too weird and not intuitive.

idk bout u guys, but what is the purpose of having cerberus network if u have to pay basically for stuff they have you for free using C.N. before? say... Kasumi=Zaheed DLC (1 mission and 1 extra character), only dif is kasumi dlc u HAD to pay for. then there is some weapon pack they have (forgot its name) is the same as the cerberus weapon/armor pack content wise... again HAVE to pay for. I wont pay for Overlord if its gonna be something like the Firewalker pack content wise (couple missions on a couple diff. planets and nothing else), I think they should put it on Cerberus Network for free (or, maybe, reduced price for those on C.N.if they HAVE to).
Firewalker was 5 missions that tended to take under 10 minutes each. So you're looking at 50 minutes on the high end.GunG12aVe wrote...
