Might have already been asked, but I didn't feel like reading the whole thread, but will there be any new upgrades on these missions? Not entirely sure how I feel about upgrades on each dlc since at this rate by the time ME3 comes out we may have 100% upgrades for everything, but I'm just curious.

I wouldn't be surprised.

We have the bonus 10% biotic and tech now, and zaeed gave us a bonus 10% assault weapons damage (if you go renegade). So perhaps Overlord will offer a bonus 10% for one of the other weapons.

It's likely we'll have a significant amount of 6/6 upgrades by the time all this DLC is over.

We seem to get another upgrade with every DLC mission.

In other words, they've noticed that there is a huge amount of impatient posters on the forums, but there's fewer impatient troll posts when they just don't announce anything.

well i can see what ur saying, from my point of view though  im not impatient for its release but knowledge of its eventual release  would help keep me interested in ME2 especialy when theres alot of cool new games on the horizon other wise it might end up that i simply loose interest in dlc as was the case with dragon age were i never realy bothered with the dlc because nothing was ever scheduled that kept my attention especialy when i was getting games from the christmas releases

How long it takes to play always differs a bit from person to person. One press site in Norway (I think? One of those Scandinavian type countries) took about 2.5 hours to play. My first playthrough was almost 2 hours (but I'm pretty awesome at ME gameplay), so I would estimate at somewhere between 90 - 150 minutes give or take.

If you already let this DLC be played by the press, then what still needs to be done with it that we have to wait for at least another two weeks?

Probably testing and certification from Microsoft so it can be released onto Live.

That doesn't stop other people from posting "Why did you promise us this/that DLC if it's going to take you so long to make it? I'm losing interest now that you told us and are obviously lying."

Looks awesome! Maybe the DLC will give us those armor pieces that are shown in these picures and in the Arc Projector photos.

It's the DA division of bioware that smokes crack.

ME division will not turn into complete tools and make us play as collectors and destroy out team mates.

Yeah, the ME-division just smokes Marijuana:

- Eeey...what about a race of blue aliens that are all female, and all hot?

- Dude, that sounds awsome...but I want a race of giant things that use their arms to walk and constantly speak in a montone manner.

- And then this race which has like double amount of every organ...you know like, like they've got two hearts and four balls! Just imagine!

- That's quite ****ing brilliant that is.

- Hey, what about my idea!

- ...Your what?

- My idea! About the big, stupid jellyfishes that speak funny and sort of seems to hover over ground.

- Oh yeah, sweet! We gotta have that!

- Hey guys...I just finnished the new planet mineral scanning thing, ya know to find...stuff. At first it moved to quick for me to control...but I slowed it down a bit I did.

- Nice, I bet this is going to be more popular then the Mako, which steering-system you designed.

- Haha yeah...but at that time I was quite stonned...wasn't I?

- Who?

- Me.

- What?

- Dunno...

More DLC is a good thing in my book! Looks like a decent couple of missions too. :)

Hmm might just be me but iam rearly disapointed with the dlc that has come out tbh. i thought that it would have been better to bring out dlc to clear up problems with your squadmates (liara) to allow me3 to be focused on the main story. :( having Kasumi seems pointless as she most prob wont be in me3 and overlord well its pretty much been done in me1 and has no meaning that i can see to the reapers. it just seems dull and once again pointless :( . And sorry to moan but just a little point bioware has allowed us in me2 to continue playing after the suicide mission which is great as we dont have to restart to play our dlc arrrr one problem all the paragon players who told cerberus to shove it are now working for them again. again mayby just me but because of the differnt ending players can get i think dlc should have nothing to do with cerberus as for me it just seems pointless. :) does anyone agree or am i on my own LOL

I'll be buying this certainly, thank you for making another dlc which extends a great game. Like many have echoed I hope there is party dialogue, or if it not, some strong NPC character dialogue with choices.

New Missions = Good

Interactive, Party Supported Missions = Great.

Judging by all the comments and thousand page long multi-threads asking for Ash/Liara/Kaiden etc content, no you are not alone, I would pay three times the amount for a decent Ash and/or Liara spin off story myself, as many of us know and appreciate those strong characters.

I disagree. The only thing you could get in a DLC is a few dumb side-quests about Liara or Ash. And that would mean, we have little left for ME3. I am very okay with Ash/Liara the way they are in ME2. This way my interest to ME3 is much higher and releasing some crappy DLC like "hunt for shadow broker" will have little story left for ME3.

Little left for ME3? These are not flat characters by any means, that is why people like them. Why not have us on the trail of Ash's secret mission, or helping her in some way? The only reasoning I can think of to say there will be little left, is because we have so little contact with them to begin with. More contact could well mean there being more character investment in the plot and story angles in ME3.

Left as they are in ME2 Ash is a total waste of a great character.

I actually see where Pra is coming from though. If they were to include anything *significant* to the plots established in ME2, anyone who doesn't buy DLC and only buys retail copies of things is going to be left out completely.

Zaeed and Kasumi aren't a problem (and neither is Overlord presumably) because their plotlines are self-contained. Firewalker isn't a problem because it's self-contained and isn't much of a plotline anyway, hehe.

I STILL don't get the constant complaining about DLC, that isn't even released yet. Don't you people have better things to do than b*******?

I may or may not buy it. Depends on the reviews. I hope it's story driven, and I'm dreading the hammerhead's presence, but if I decide to not buy it... well, I'm certain the sun will rise the day after anyway.

Is overlord the same VI as used in mass effect 1 on luna (earth's moon) ?
