I don't think you guys should get your hopes up for it coming out the 15th. No official announcement, no trailer, no release date info on the main page. Extremely unlikely they'd release a new DLC 4 days from now with virtually no promo for it.

Never, that I know of. And specifically Bioware? Never. People don't buy things if they don't know they exist, and there is a ton of gamers who don't check the internet everyday, or these forums at all, so they have no idea a DLC is even in the works.

IGN is just going along with BioWare's "coming in June", setting it's tentative date to the last day of the month (a Wednesday no less).



No reason to doubt Major Nelson of all people: if he says it's coming, it's coming.

If Bioware wants to be the first to drop a surprise DLC on it's fans this Tuesday I'll be more than happy to catch it!

Major Nelson doesn't mean ****.  All he said is a ''demo''.  The only thing he's got going for him is he picked a Tuesday which is when they've released all the other dlc.

There has been a steady stream of DLC for "ME2", and the process is always the same. News of it, maybe a dev talks about it, pics and a trailer, release date announced somewhere in there, and then it comes out. It doesn't make sense to assume the new DLC would deviate from this based on "Pinnacle Station",  which came out a year ago before Bioware even had a steady DLC plan in place.

Microsoft announced the 15th date.....that means that it is done, finished, out of the devs hands and past certification......this DLC WILL without a shadow of a doubt be out on tuesday. This is exactly what happened with the Darkspawn Chronicles DAO DLC just a few weeks back.....Microsoft announced its release and nobody even knew what it was at all.....then some days later just before release BioWare came out with a trailer and announcement except that we already have an announcement for Overlord so they won't say anymore until it is released.

I posted that link again becaue people keep talking about new weapon/armor in Overlord DLC.  Just don't want people to get their hopes up when Casey clearly say there isn't any new "items" with this DLC.

Check the new wallpapers on ME2 site..there must be a new weapons or armor, only if they weant to release it in some other dlc...

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have new gear.

It would be nice to have a new heavy pistol, at least that is what that M5 thingy looks like. I doubt it's a SMG.



Hopefully it'll get added at some point in the game, we can only hope.

The geth gun is already in the game - some of the geth use it if I recall. But that M5 gun Kasumi has is definately new.

The weapons may not be in OL, but whos to say they wont release another Equalizer or Cerberus Assault type set at the same time or soon after, Im sure they wouldnt put out pics of new items if they arent planning on adding them at some point, i mean, they know just how much we scrutinize announcements and pictures

I hope they are in OL, but ill be just as happy for a new weapon/armor pack in a week or two

Dear, do you even know who Major Nelson is? As Xbox Live's Director of Programming, virtually everything goes through him. The only scenarios in which we won't get those items on those days are if EA or BioWare discover some last minute flaws and decide to delay and polish or if Xbox Live were to go down for... well, a day.

Yeah; but that was because it was outsourced to a minor developer and ended up sucking so they released it on the down low with the hopes that it would slip under the radar.

That Geth Gun has three barrels, the Geth assault rifle wielded by your standard Geth Trooper has one.  Geth Rocket troopers wield your standard missile launcher, Geth Destroyers wield Firestorm flamethrowers, Geth Primes wield upscaled Revenants and (the one I think you might be confusing this gun with) Geth Hunters use Scimitar shotguns.  So that Geth Gun is definitely new as well, although its presence may only indicate a new Geth unit, not a new weapon Shepard can use.  Indeed, since the screenshot appears to be from the Overlord DLC and since the Devs have sadly said that Overlord won't include any new guns my guess is that Shepard won't be able to use it.  Although there is the possibility that it might come out as DLC after Overlord or that the Devs have taken note of the dissapointment over the lack of new gear being packed with Overlord and decided to throw in a new gun.

So there is potentially a new Geth Gun (shotgun, assault rifle, or maybe a heavy weapon from the looks of it.), the "M5" weapon Kasumi is wielding which appears to be a new heavy pistol. 

Plus there are the new N7 armor pieces which were spotted in one of the new screenshots which were released way back when they announced the Arc Projector; but which have yet to be released.  On top of that the developer posts on the forums seem to indicate that they'll be releasing the Incisor Sniper Rifle as DLC pretty soon as well.

Still, I just wish they'd release a Vindicator with a higher ammo reserve and a black finish on it.  I love my Vindicator; but it really sucks down the ammo on hardcore and insanity.

I dunno - there was armor in the arc projector pic that we're STILL waiting for.  There was all kinds of clamoring and "when are we gonna get it," and Chris was all like "oooh, that's new is it?  Well maybe we'll tell you about it soon," ..........aaaaaaaand nothing yet.
