Hey, I enjoyed that DLC. Locust, casual outfit, minibar, statue of liberty, good hour of so of gameplay and Kasumi, who's kickass. I'm satisfied to pay $7 for that. Infact, here in England it was more like £4KalosCast wrote...
Seeing the colossal fail that was "TEH GRAETEST THIEF IN TEH YOONIVURSE" I'm still a little wary of another $7 DLC.

To be fair, they have made some errors with their DLC, but this is definetly a step in the right direction, and Kasumi was good also. Some people are just overly critical.Sleepicub09 wrote...
my god if BW gave you a million dollars you guys would complain that its not enough.
Example:
I don't like the armour pack as it is near useless and bad value, and I'm in the majority, but alot of people are threatening not to buy this pack due to no weapons/armour. Poor bioware have a hard job.

Plus it's only 7 bucks. I'm not surprised by the amount of people with entitlement complexes here.
my only hope is that Shepard won't be mute. I know it has 'full voice acting', but does that mean there will be dialogue conversations, or will Shepard just be running around and shooting stuff while the Overlord rants away?

Sad and pathetic, but true of too many of the people here.

It's 5 full missions (one of them being a vehicle based hub) - and just wait until you see the boss.

Ah. Darn. I was really hoping for platinum standard Bioware quality. For that you need jokes ("this is my favorite DLC announcement in ME2") in addition to the strong narrative.Michael Gamble wrote...
Overlord will be gold standard Bioware quality (think Kasumi - but longer). VO based conversations, cutscenes, strong narrative.
Pass.

If we buy the DLC and have one of our characters not do the mission (or mess up the mission intentionally), does the plot flag carry over as:

Let's consider that Mass Effect 2 is probably... 35 hours for a full playthrough (this includes N7 missions and such)? I generally see people report between 20 and 50 hours for their first playthrough. I think mine was 42 because I get distracted by shiny objectscerberus1701 wrote...

At a $50-60 price tag, you're paying $1.42 to $1.72 per hour for unique gameplay time.
Kasumi was around 1.5 hours for $7. That's about $4.66 per hour for unique gameplay time.
This is 2.5 hours for $7. That's about $2.8 per hour for unique gameplay time.
We're getting closer to "fair value", but there's still a significant premium attached.
You'd think DLC would cost less to produce than the full game since you don't need to go designing a game engine/ability system
Let's also consider that a lot of people are saying "pass" largely because of the price. If they slashed the price of the DLC to $4 (which would be around $1.6 per hour of unqiue gameplay time - in line with the main game), perhaps large amounts of these people wouldn't pass and Bioware would end up making around the same amount of money with the same content --- and would have happier customers!
Anyway, steps in the direction, at least. Kudos.

Will this DLC be related to the main story or is the story completly independent ?
From the screens they look like Loki mechs so since that is all we have to go on it would seem that they tie in with that side questline in game.
