DLC was ...good.

Could be great, but .... our team was so mute.

Subtitles is better than nothing, - good tip

next tip - use emails, or text massages, or something... FGS. It should be RPG!

Sounds fun killing all the Geth again like what I did to them on ME1.

can anyone tell how to unlock the recon armor please

Umm...Near as I can tell (I could be wrong)...There is no armor with this DLC....So, if you're trying to find armor with this pack you are probably in for a huge disappointment.  In fact, the lack of good, or for that matter, ANY, real upgrades is the primary reason I am NOT getting this DLC.

Again, I could be wrong about the armor but I dont think I am...There is NO armor with this DLC.

So, you're buying DLCs for weapon/armor upgrades, not for because they're fun to play? Good for you ;-)
I enjoyed Overlord and I didn't mind the lack of weapon/armor upgrades.

I would wait about a month, usually BioWare has a consistant track record of releasing DLC every two to three months:

Same here.

There is no need for more fire-power anyway, even in insanity the ennemy aren't tough enough when your aquiment are about +40 / +60 %.

I wouldn't mind more weapon (but no more fire power) and armor pieces.

But if i had to chosse for a DLC, i would prefer long playing time with a good quality (new ambiance, story, maps, puzzle if they are intresting) than short time playing with new member / upgrade.

Agree, but some poeple just dont understand that story and feelings after that dlc is more important than some kind of armor....

I want more DLC wih good history like BDtS, Overlord and Kasumi. I don´t need more weapons/upgrades/armour. I got N7, Inferno & Asault armor and only use my customized N7.

Yep and Im not afraid to admit it...In fact, I admit it proudly Image IPB
Now, if the DLC were free (not complaining that Id have to pay for it mind you because I paid for Kasumi no problem.) and didnt have any upgrades etc. then I'd go ahead and download it.  But if Im going to pay for a DLC, I expect there to be something worth my time aside from story that is non-essential to the main plot.  (and by non-essential I mean not required for ME3 when it comes out)

The only reason I bought Kasumi day one when it launched is because I knew ahead of time that Id be getting the Kasa Locust...(which new guns and gadgets are always worth my time hehe).  But seeing as how there wasnt a whole lot leaked out about Overlord, I decided to go ahead and wait and see if there was anything worth getting if I downloaded it.  Dont get me wrong, the DLC is probably great.  But unfortunately, non-essential story alone is not enough to get me to get this particular DLC.  Again, that's just me and not by any means the voice of other players who obviously have DL'd it and are enjoying it.

Edit: Id also like to note that I am NOT against story....If I were against story, I wouldnt even be playing ME to begin with.  However, I am merely stating that there needs to be something else worth my time when it comes to OPTIONAL content.  Again, in the example of Kasumi, the good story and such was just a very fortunate by-product of me getting new gear.

Again, for some players (or most) story alone is worth purchasing this.  Admittedly, another reason I am not buying this particular DLC is because Ive seen the so called "emotinal" value of it compared to that of the Normandy Crash Site...And if that is anywhere near true, then this DLC isnt worth my time to begin with because Normandy Crash Site was pretty damn lame IMO lol.

The mute team mates was no surprise. Though I give Bioware credit for making them physically interactive through out the mission. Like when your squad mates cleaned the station of dead bodies and stuff.

Awesome DLC, if the rumors on future DLC installments would be a lead up to ME3 are true then I am excited to see what we're gonna get.

Overall I liked Overload. I LOVED the ending, it really made me feel emotionally involved (I feel like I'm not wording this correctly, but I can't think of any other way to put it. It brought out emotions from me). Like everyone else, I'm disappointed that there was no squad dialog. Also, the periods of shooting between the story progression was far too long for me.

Both are great, but I would give the slight nod to Kasumi simply because you are getting a new weapon and a new member to the team.

I'd give the nod to Kasumi simply because she's a lot easier on the eyes than David. :)

AGREED!!!!!

Question - did we ever get the achievement problem sorted?

I should have 53/54, and yet it's still reading as 51/54, and my gamerscore is 980/1055 when it should be 1005/1055

Sorry if it's already been asked a million times

Voice Overs for both Zaeed AND Kasumi were included in the original game audio....

False. You guys really need to research what you're talking about before you open your mouth. There was a handful of lines, no model for the character, no mission, no SMG....basically just 5-6 lines from Kasumi. That's "in the game" to you? Of course it is, because you're looking for something to complain about.

What I said applies to Zaeed also. A few lines of dialogue don't mean anything. There is a ton of dialogue in the game files that's not used....there is lines of dialogue from a Liara DLC. Does that mean they should've gave us the whole Liara DLC free even though it's not finished, just because she has a few extra lines? You guys kill me.

First, I'm not complaining -- nowhere in here have I ever said I DISLIKED or HATED this game, simply wished they had spent another month or two and released it as a whole.

SECOND; I love this game and all of the content, Just wish it was in the original retail game; (THAT'S NOT COMPLAINING, IT'S CALLED WISHING)

Third; "5-6 Lines"? where the hell do you get off?, I've counted the audio, one-by-one in my "Liara DLC" (hope-it-comes) in total there are *approx*, 32,000 audio (don't qoute on the exact figure) files for dialog and music, approx 260 are for Kasumi during main missions / hub-vistas.  and I also know that the models were not included (wouldn't make money if there was a simple hack for it, would they?) now I know some idiot is going to qoute me on all of this--don't bother, Im not getting into a p!$$!ng competeion with anyone.

I have played this game: 149 times
overlord: 19 times
other content: ?Multiple Times?

I've purchased approx. 4,500 copies of the standard game. 10 more this week from amazon and 5 from Play.com.
I've purchased 25 copies of the collectors ed. that all i could get my hands on.
I've purchased 5 of each item of clothing -- t-shirts, hoodies, etc.

If any of you were to do the math above, you'd see that I have spent a "small fortune" in my support of BioWare, if I were to buy DLC for each box that I have purchased... er... I'd run out of money?

Oh I did the math above, and yes you have spent a "large fortune", not "small".  Let's break this down shall we?

So, you have spent $225,704.85 on the standard edition alone since January 26th, or approximately depending on when the purchases occured.
Another $1,499.75 on the Collectors Editions, of which that's all that you could acquire so far.

Taking those into account at approximate pricepoints of $49.99 for each SE PC version, and $59.99 for each CE PC version.

You've played the core game 149 times since January 26th, or approximately.
You have played Overlord 19 times since June 15th, exactly 9 days ago.

With all that said.  Essentially you've been able to afford $200k since January or a small time frame before release, all the while finding the time to play 168 total times that includes Overlord, which who knows how much time that adds up to in total hours as I'd rather not do the math for that as it'd be impossible given unknown playthrough hours.

So, where in the world does a single job factor into any of this to put out enough money that equals a mid-range house on one game 4,500 times in a little under or over 6 months?  You would need $37,617.47 monthly income to do exactly that.  Now none of this factors in that you're from Ireland, but regardless, that rough estimate on the totals isn't varying in difference by very much considering the weakness of the Dollar nowadays.  Unless you're Bill Gates at his peak and prime, you are:
Blowing smoke at the very least Image IPB

Someone can support another company via purchasing a single product.  They don't need to spend $200k on one edition of the game 4,500 times, of which serves absolutely zero purpose.

Now how does this even correlate to the original topic?  It doesn't, but thought I would breakdown your astronomical purchases and playtime.

If you can afford all of that, in such little time, then I retract all of this and apologize lol, but it just seems a tad bit fishy so figured I would respond.

The hammerhead sequences were a total bore, just like the firewalker pack, but the rest of the DLC was decent. The long end sequence in particular was visually stunning. I just want my mako back.

I really enjoyed the Overlord DLC. The vehicle segments were pretty cool, and the boss battle was nice. The ending was kind of eerie, and the way that "the square root of ..." kept repeating was a nice effect.

Like others, i think it was a shame to not really have any input from your team mates... but i did like the way that they did things during cut scenes. I recall Grunt dragging a body and Miranda doing something with a terminal. They were shown to be visibly busy, so i guess it's unreasonable to expect them to be involved in the conversation.
