Just finished it - good but not great. The Hammerhead sections aren't interesting or fun - all you do is shoot stationary turrets. The story is pretty good, the combat is solid and it took me 1.5 hours. Kind of hoped for some more party dialogue and gear, but overall i'm happy. 7/10

I think it was awesome, some people here seem to be more worried about armors rather than playing an amazing storyline, if thats the case you picked the wrong game.

Great work bioware, best dlc so far.

Im all for great story, otherwise I wouldnt have picked up ME to begin with.  However, as I'll restate, if Im going to have to pay for a DLC (to which Im NOT complaining btw because I paid for Kasumi with no complaints) then I believe I should get something that is going motivate to do so other than non-essential story plug-ins.  And by "non essential" I mean not essential to the main plot of ME in order to progress things.

I loved the Kasumi DLC...The great dialog etc was just a fortunate by-product of the new squadmate and weapon being acquired.  Again, Im NOT against story....Im just against purchasing non essential material if there is no "material" motivation for me to do so.  And secondly, I doubt it has the "emotional impact" everyone is saying it does anyway.  Because, yet again, the Normandy Crash Site was lame as hell and there were people who actually thought THAT was an emotional moment in the game.

That "emotional impact" really depends on the player, don't you think ( like an opinion or prefrence ).   There are way too many categories for people to fit into for me to list,   but the extremes could be the Role Players ( you know the ones that want to act every thing out or just emerse themselfs deeply into their hero or story) all the way down to those that are only interested in getting the achievements for the Xbox.   So imo the DLCs so far have been okay and that "emotional impact" is there, just not something to write home about.

Just wondering how many times am I going to see the same face in ME2 from Overload and Horizan? Is the man in Overload related to the mechanic on Horizan and on Eden Prime?

Could have done without the Hammer head. I mean really, making us do the old super mario thing jumping from one thing to another? Squad action was great, challenging, but still a bit light on the story and you would think if you had Legion on your team he would have a few things to say in regards to the Geth.

I suppose you're right about the whole "Immersion" thing lol....I used to be a hardcore D&D'er about 10 years ago before myself and all my "group" went our separate ways and now we dont get to play anymore.  So yea, I know a great deal about immersion and putting a piece of yourself into your character...Buuuuut, I digress....I just cant bring myself to do that with a video game character I guess heh....And I believe that is largely in part due to the fact that a D&D character, Vampire: The Masquerade, or even a Werewolf: The Apocolypse take so much longer to "Develope".  And by that I mean in every meaning of the word: Level, character growth, ad nauseum...And you tend to put more of yourself into that character you've spent years and multiple campaigns on, than you do some video game character that you can create in 20 minutes tops and spend no where near as much time with.

Im not saying that those that do and/or can put that much effort into a video game character are bad or anything, Im just saying that I personally cant due to already stated reasons over D&D.  Guess what Im trying to say in a nutshell is that I come from a generation where when you play a roleplaying game, you have control over EVERY aspect of your character and that "roleplaying" games of today are really a joke in comparison when it comes to that aspect.  Not to say there arent great RPGs out there because there are.  But there has yet to be one developed where I am willing to put as much of myself into the development of my character, as I used to back in the day when I still played D&D Image IPB

Was probably the best ME2 DLC so far. Good work on that one. The best part for me was the decision you had to make at the end. Hard decisions are always a selling point for me.

Still find it impossible to land on Aite. The game keeps freezing on me when that happens.

Great DLC. Just need to fix the Hammerhead so it's a bit more fun during combat, especially on Insanity where you have to cheese from far away if you wanna take out those turrets without being obliterated instantly.

But story, combat, characters and enviroments were all the work of masters. Keep it up! :)

haha yeah just been using the hammerhead on insanity it is incredibly annoying everybattle is just finding a new place to cheese from would be nice if at some point they could rebalance it, but no big deal just means taking ages to do the hammerhead bits

Wow, that DLC was amazing. Especially the last 20 min were just great. Emotional impact of the story resolution was amazing ... Bioware did it again.

Anyway, the Hammerhead needs to be a bit more resiliant in combat. The MAKO did much better there. However I liked the platforming as long they keep it short, I'd like to see more. It was also good that the vehicle no longer felt like it was tested by the developers (like Firewalker DLC) but was actually included (well paced) intp the overall mission.

Best thing was the story though. So if we have to live with more DLC instead of a really expansion pack, than please, keep this up ... and get us some squad dialogue. I know it requires more planning but Sheps companions are the heart of the ME2 game and they should not be set aside just because of inconvenience.

All in all, great work BW, keep it up (or make a real addon, if you like :)).

The villain was creepy, with his bizzare screaming noises, up until the part where you start to find out what's what.

God damn I loved this DLC . The end was fantastic and the levels had  seemed to be based more on atmosphere than a challenge, which can be both good and bad, and in the case, was done very well. I want more missions like this.

The best low price dlc on the market. Overlord brings you to one of the most beautiful enviroments Mass Effect 2 has to offer. Overlord combines a breathtaking scenery that you will marvel at, as well as a mysterious plot that will have you guessing right up until the end. Great job Bioware and EA, keep em' coming.
