SInce the combat is beginning to resemble shooter games more, since Thane is seen dual-wielding pistols in the Blur Trailer, and since you can dual-wield pistols in the Halo 2 and 3, why not consider implementing dual-wielding of pistols in ME3?

Just a thought.  What do others think?

Today, dual wielding guns is pretty pointless. Accuracy goes down rapidly....

BUT this is in the future, and it's science FICTION, so they could've fixed the problems by then - so why not :-)

I support this! ;-)

Dual-wielding is one of the single dumbest ideas to come out of the video game world.

If you're going to spray-and-pray, why would you do it with something as inaccurate, low-powered and generally stupid as a pistol? It's one of those idea that came from movies and is so retarded it shouldn't even be in them in the first place.

Dual wielding would be cool, if implemented correctly. Maybe make it an unlockable ability for soldiers, or something like that. It wouldn't make sense for all the classes to do it, though.

Unloading dual handcannons on a crowd of mechs would be sweet!

@ Sphaerus Because dw anything with a high kick back would knock the arms off of anyone that isn't Chuck Norris?

Then don't dual-wield because it isn't practical in the least.

Chuck Norris and guns!?
You Sir earned yourself a Roundhousekick-to-the-face!

Chuck Norris does not use such ineffective items to kill. His beard is more dangerous than any weapon one could wield in one hand a million times!

On another note, ... dual wielding projectile weapons is the dumbest thing one could do. It decreases ones ability to accurately aim to near zero and thus dishes out less damage than just one weapon used whilst carefully aiming. Dual wielding is for n00bs, that don't know how real weapons behave like.

Swords on the other hand, can be pretty effective if "dual"-wielded by a skilled person. But I haven't seen swords in Mass Effect yet, has anyone?

Ok, well I was just asking for opinions, not rude little trolls who wish to try sounding superior.

Well, that helps me make up my mind. Continuing to cater to the shooter crowd is a bad idea because it brings in idiots. Forget the suggestion was ever made.

well Halo Reach is taking out DW - I have already said a bunch of times that DW could work and fit in to the ME universe given what is said in codexes.

Some people just detest it so it doesnt make sense to try convince them and this has been discussed alot in these forums.

I also think Thane is a poor choice as he is an assasin - Jack or a Vanguard Shep would be a top choice for some DW action.

For future combat - how about some biotic levitation similar to Samara or some assassination type moves like Kasumi or Thane.

People who aren't thirteen-year-old boys come to mind.

To be honest. Some of us "sound" very aggressive with our criticism. I apologize for my harshness, though my opinion stays.

i didnt really see any aggressive statements. im just tired of seeing the same damn thing posted every day thats all. and the problam with gaming today is people are so stuck on halos gameplay they want it in every shooter typed based game. just because duel weilding works in halo dosent mean itll work for mass effect. if i sound pricky im sorry but these multi player/co-op/ duel weilding fanboys/fangirls need to understand a good portin of gamers dont want that crap in mass effect

I'm 33, and I don't care about practicality in videogames.  I care about having fun.  Dual wielding is fun.

Ok, Tazz, first of all, I just discovered Halo, not too long ago. And I happen to like Dw. Just wanted to see what's out there, but people seem to be incapable of being polite. W/e have fun being nasty, I don't give a shit.

Second of all, we're talking about practicality in a sci-fi game. Really?

We're talking about practicality in a video game in which the characters are protected from the vaccuum of space by a surgical mask, and nipple straps protect against gunfire?

But, but, nipple straps are cool!
