I think this game will be awesome. Not a lot worries me about thinking it won't be a total masterpiece. I think it will be a masterpiece because it is Bioware. There is one thing though that is probably my biggest complaint with this game at least that I know of...well besides me wishing the Dwarves where the best race in the game and all the other races bowed before them...lol jk.

Anyways, my biggest complaint that I know of at least is probably the character facial animations. This includes both the voice acting and the way the characters express their emotions and such via facial animations. From what I have seen the voice acting and the character facial expressions and animations don't seem to match up the best. I think the voice acting is great, but I think the character facial animations aren't the best. If you disagree please don't be too mean.

I think it's pretty solid. I love the lip movements for some reason. They're so... alluring. Like all the lips in DA are juicy and squishy and it makes me want to eat them.



Voice Acting is superb from what we have seen imho.

I don't disagree with you but seeing how the only time we are going to see the PC's face close up is in conversations in which the PC isn't voiced at all. The only time I think you would see it is you had some reason to play the game's combat facing your character, instead of from the default back.

I don't just mean the PC. I mean all characters in the game. From what we have seen of the game in my opinion the character facial animations don't seem the best.

From what little I've seen of the lip sync, it does seem a bit off. Then again, I only have a few trailers and the CC to go on. The facial animations seem to be pretty good though. As does the voice actors, even if I have a nagging fear that some of them are going overboard (most notably Morrigans voice over in the Morrigan trailer) and trying too hard.

The Dwarves look awsome in this game. Yes, there will be bad reviews, and yes the game will have its weak points - however, it'll be a great game. I'm not worrying that one or two aspects will drag the game down.

Voice acting is terrific for me..and I like the facial animations...I think one the game is out and we actually play..these will become more evidentally good. We havn't really seen too many of the facial expressions...well at least I havn't.

Ya, like I said I think this game will be awesome as well. However the one complaint that I know of at least for me personally is the character facial animations. The voice acting seems great, but to me the character facial animations aren't the best.

some time ago i think I've read the bad sync was due to the video timing (mostly)
let me see if I find it.

Lipsynch in video games is done using software that processes the final audio files for each language, so the results are as good as your software solution is.

I miss more expressions from companions, but I don't pay much attention to their mouths while they talk (I think it has become normal since I saw a lot of legended movies), so I'm ok with it.

Well when they are talking I happen to notice their mouths a lot of the times I guess. I dunno, maybe the character facial animations will look better to me in game. However from the gameplay videos and trailers that I have seen signs point towards me not liking the character facial animations in this game. Everything else about this game seems to be awesome though.

I hope it is just the videos.
So what about my other complaint, that Dwarfs aren't the best race in the game and that I want the other races to bow before the Dwarfs?

Agreed. I think the lip sync in the CC is pretty much spot on from what I can tell. You can't really judge by trailers on line because alot of them regaurdless of game are not synced correctly.

Why do you discuss this now? I didn´t have the chance to play DA for a minuite. have you? You don´t know how it looks like and how it actuelly feels like. Ok the vids and so on gave you a little insight. But remember you don´t know if the finished game looks like the vids. And please don´t come at me with the statement that the pc version of the game finished in late spring.... i know that! but i´m telling you that a lot of work could have been done since then.

In my opinion we just have to wait until we have the chance to reale evaluate the game by ourselves!

Nope, haven't played the game, but I have seen gameplay videos. Like I said, I hope it is just the videos we have seen where maybe the audio is off or something I dunno. Why do I discuss this now? I'm not trying to be rude, but my answer to that is simply because I can. I am just passing time away and such. Also, it is something I noticed and that I didn't like that is in this game. The lip synch is good, but the mouth animations bug me - it seems like everyone in DA:O is speaking through clenched teeth. There's not enough variation in how open the mouth gets. It's a very minor quibble that I've had with numerous games.

I think it gets funny, especially on woman characters with big lips LOL.

What detracts for me, is that the characters stand so rigidly (here -http://www.youtube.c...h?v=Zg_M2vowQWU) and people stand so far away when conversing.
