Liara was very powerfull in Mass Effect.
Dont know really what you mean.
Everyone who could lift a geth colossus would wipe the floor wit regular mercs.(like she did on high levels)
Biotics and biotic squadmembers were good in Mass Effect,in cutscenes and in gameplay.No stupid "protection" system where shields/armor barrier make most of them useless.(only barrier would make sense)

if my biotics can throw people with 1000 newtons of force and throw them 50 feet, then how come i cant blast a throw against the ground and propel myself to fly ala "charge?"

I hope they include throwing objects in the future, like you see in the cutscenes. Come to think of it, your opponents can, as we see in the Samara recruitment. I don't know if anyone's played Bioshock, but the throw plasmid was tremendous fun in that game.

Frankly, I like the cut scenes. They showcase some of the things that Biotics are actually capable of doing, without having to deal with the technical headache of having to implement it. After all, I doubt that there are a grand total of 5 different types of Assault Rifle in the entire galaxy. Or 2 different types of Heavy Pistol.
I think the point being made here isn't that we should have everything in the cutscenes, it's that there shouldn't be a huge disparity between them and the game. Frankly, I agree, as it just ends up disappointing people.
