I recall that the dwarf noble loses all his items shortly before the end of the origin. Does this mean that they can't get the entire set? or can it be found somewhere along the route to finding Duncan?
Does Dwarf Noble lose blood dragon plate? (spoilers...ish, maybe, kinda)

You keep your DLC. You just lose the non-DLC stuff in your inventory.

I think you need to be patched (and on PC) to actually keep your DLC stuff.
In all other cases, you have to unload and reload the DLC to get your stuff back.
