Cry me a river and build me a bridge. There is alot of things like Cerberus bugs, drive core enchaning the sex, Miri likes the core, Bioware choosed it because it has the best lighting in the game. Fact of the matter is, we don't know why Miranda chose the engine room. We can speculate, of course. But we don't know anything because for some reason the writers didn't give Miranda lines explaining why she wants to do it in the engine room.

You can actually see it from the Life Support room and the other room with all the bunks. Not directly, but the Drive Core itself gives a pretty clear reflection of the platform. So, it is possible that Thane was watching.

You do now I only noticed the reflection because I actualy was looknig at the drive core and saw it. You need to focus. No one was watching and people who like to say people where watching are just plain haters.

It sucks when people don't understand a character

And it's sad. Miri is a very well done complex and intresting character. While she is one of the popular ME2 LI and characters (up there with Tali and Garrus) this minority of vocal haters <_<

Just what, exactly defines trollish behavior?  Posting an opinion counter to your own?  What defines "moron"?  Anyone stooooopid enough to disagree with your opinion?

You seem to understand that _some_ people are monumental Miranda fans, and you also seem to be understanding when they are outspoken in her defense.  But if others are outspoken in their criticism of the Miranda character, you conclude that they MUST be trolls and/or morons for doing so.

There are no _facts_ in any of these discussions.  They have about as much credibility as "Who would win in a fight?  God or Superman?"  Yet people take sides, pretty much on any topic there are/will be opposing opinions.  And no lack of people declaring themselves THE authorities of what is or isn't moronic.

Your kidding me right? Do you know what a troll is? A troll is a person who wants to get a riseo ut of someone. You knew this was gonig to get people pissed off and your argument is so bad it's not even funny. I have seen better troll attempts and arguments about the engine room then this. The point that even go to say she is a bi*ch because she did it in the eninge room shows you are a troll. I have friends who don't like Miri, but unliek you they give good critism and don't call her names and use weak arguments. I can name a bunch of people who don't like Miri and have a strong reason.

When Miranda finally decides to jump Shepard's bones, she arranges to do so in the Engine Room, rather than her quarters or his.  Some have theorized that she chose that locale because it's "neutral ground".  I have a simpler theory:

Consider what else is in the immediate vicinity:  Tali's post is just around the corner.  And there's no doors in between.  Even if Tali was told to vacate, she's bright enough to understand why she's being told to leave her post.

Jack's quarters are wide open to the open shaft under that platform where Miranda and Shepard go at it.  Undoubtedly, Jack will hear every "oomph", "ahh!" and "oh, god!" that those two let slip.

Miranda MUST know that her two competitor's for Shepard's Romantic inclinations will be intimately aware that she, Miranda, got him and they did NOT.
