First, these quests are patched, and I hope they are, will it be done in a way where they can be activated deep into an Awakening playthrough? I ask because should they be patched, it would be really nice to reload a playthrough from right before the final battle, do them and then blaze through the ending again. This would involve a couple of hurdles:
- Being able to activate the quests when the characters' approval is already high
- For Sigrun, respawning the dwarf that initiates her quest if the save file is from after said dwarf has disappeared.
Second, does the ending to Awakening get saved at all and will it affect any future expansions or sequels? I notticed that unlike Mass Effect 2, Awakening loads data directly from a save file rather than the hidden file Mass Effect had. Since there's no "post final boss" portion to Awakening, then how can the ending get saved? For that matter, I guess I should ask if Origins' ending itself will affect any sequels due to this seeming lack of a hidden file, or does it have one that simply wasn't utilized for Awakening because it's an expansion and not an entirely different game?
This is mostly my own curiosity here. After finishing Awakening, I've just been thinking about the effect on sequels a bit.
