I use a Dokuji Nami Katana forged with 3000 layers of carbon steel. It is an extremely heavy sword which weighs 12 lbs but that is not an issue for somebody like me. I can wield it like a juggler wields a torch.

3000!? Is that even possible!?

Not by your average swords smith.  Such a masterpiece of a weapon can only be forged by a master sword's smith.

no kidding!!

4096 layers is acheived by folding the metal only 12 times. You can achieve 2048 layers with 11 folds. Strangely, its impossible to achieve 3000 layers.

As I said, I do not wield a tool which can be forged by your average swordsmith.

If memory serves correctly, it is the way ancient Japanese swordsmiths forged weapons.

Ah, young one. I see your wisdom. The ancient art of origami (my practiced form of martial arts) does indeed yield unearthly weapons of destruction with many different numbers of layers and folds.

You study well, young one.

I am not a swords smith myself. I do not craft the weapon, I merely wield it but I do know the one who forged it for me did so using unorthodox forging methods which have made the blade far superior to your average sword.

Ah, then it is your swordsmith who has studied the ancient art or origami.

Now, I pity you, young one. You have much to learn.

I repaid the one who forged it for me by giving him the honor of knowing that his masterpiece would be wielded by one as talented as myself.
Of course I could not risk the possibility of such a weapon ever falling into the hands of one of my enemies.

Needless to say, I made sure such a scenario could never happen.

One exactly like mine?  No it isn't, not anymore.  He may have had apprentices though but I doubt they could be easily convinced to peddle their skill.

Nor does a true master of origami ever admit that he has trained apprentices, for it is against the ancient code. The knowledge is not trained, it is simply known.

no need to be exactly like yours but if your sword is as good as you say it would be an honor to get one from the same swordsmith. Or one of his apprentices I'm not very picky...

I think we've gotten a little off topic so I will end by saying that so long as I and I alone wield the Dokuji Nami 3000, then I am virtually invincible. No way would I disclose information for anyone to obtain one of their own even if I had such information.

This is not about my sword fighting skills though, this is about my running skills and my intention to win despite the danger of injury.

Thank you but it is not hope or luck or anything of the sort that will carry me to victory tomorrow.  It is my nerves of steel and iron resolve which gives me my boundless strength and endurance.  That is what my enemies will feel tomorrow as they smell the burnt rubber of my shoes in front of them.
