 Good morning all,

I am very new at playing around with Modding  things. I have read a great deal on the subject and was even able to make a few things and learned a lot in the process.

Well i am a IT geek I play around with OS's a lot , In the process, while I saved my save games and modules but reinstalled the game and tool kit loosing the database i was using for making the module

The issue is now that i have done that i lost my database that i created my mod in and other then recreating it from scrathc i am not sure how i can work on it.

the question

Is there a way create a new database and import the modules into the new database? If so how would i start.

Thank you in advance

Tj

Not unless you made a builder to builder package before you lost the database.

There isn't any tools that tries to recover from other sources, there is simply no need for it and some data would be lost either way.

OK, so my next question is, where is the working database stored at. In order to save an recover a database.

For instance. when I start tools, Then I create my own Module, Then begin doing things with in that module. Is that player made module stored with the actual game module data in program files?

Reason I ask,I kept the entire player data directory, (save games and installed modules etc. ) Just the game and tools where reinstalled, so my only assumption is that the tools working database must be in with the game install directory.

Sorry if i am getting too deep into it just trying to figure out how it works since i have multiple PC's and do multiple installs would rather not loose progression and start over each time i get a desire to swap OS's .

the database is store in "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\DAODB\\Data" and you pick your own location for art resources such as levels. the exported module is stored in your document bioware addin folders.
