Is there any way to get the XBox 360 controller to work with the PC version of Mass Effect 2? If not, have there been any posts from BioWare as to why they did not include controller support?

BioWare says the PC version doesn't support an Xbox 360 controller because they redid the user interface to work better with a keyboard.

I am most definitely not oriented to consoles and their input devices, so I tend to ignore these threads as a rule. However, within other contexts, I believe I have run into mentions of some enabling utility software that interfaces between games and controllers to add a wider range of input options. A thorough search of the subject here in the forums, as well as 'net-wide, via Google or Yahoo, should be productive.
I've tried both searches at some point after writing that last sentence, and must have needed different search criteria than what I've tried. What I had in mind was semi-generic in the sense that it worked with many games to intercept various controller input signals and translate those to keyboard and / or mouse commands.

I'm looking for a mod for the xbox 360 controller to work in me2. I downloaded a mod for me1 last year and it worked for xbox controler. Here's wishing for the same someday for me2!

I just like the joypad for Mass Effect 2 better over the mouse and keyboard.
