After many days and hours of fiddeling with the toolset i finally fixed my database error, so i am posting my solution here in hopes that it might also help someone else =]

DXdiag- system specs: http://rapidshare.co...DxDiag.txt.html
I have the latest version Dragon age origins awakening with latest version Toolset.

Problem 'Unable to connect to database'

The problem seemed to be that my /GAME DIRECTORY/tools/  Toolssql/Data
Was non-existant and dus empty, what i did was open up the CMD by going to 'start' and then 'run' then typing in 'CMD' . Without the ' '   ( you might need to create the missing directories yourself, example: in tools create folder TOOLSSQL and inside that folder create anther folder named DATA )

I used the following command:

the code for the command can be downloaded here: http://rapidshare.co...he_CMD.txt.html
i uploaded it inside a text because this forum automatically adds more /// to a line where there is only ONE /

You can just copy and paste exactly as-is into your CMD window, Be sure to change the directory locations according to where your game is installed. Example: My game is installed in *C:\\\\\\\\Games\\\\\\\\Dragon Age* Change this part to where your Dragon Age folder is located.

Dependant on your computers proccesing speed this might take a few minutes, just wait  patiently.

The second problem i encountered was: 'Location of gamebuild either not specified..'

I solved this by using the ConfigureToolset.exe in the Tools folder of your game path. Example: /GAME DIRECTORY/Tools/ConfigureToolset.exe

Make sure the; Win32 Game part is Directed towards your MAIN gamefolder and not the tools folders, example: At first it was set to 'C:\\\\\\\\Games\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\Tools' I then changed that to 'C:\\\\\\\\Games\\\\\\\\Dragon Age'.  And well, problem solved. (for me at least)

~ Cheers

No the problem is old information. you are recreating a folder that did exist in version 1.0 and earlier beta versions of the toolset version 1.01 has the database in another location. (they moved it to solve a issue with MSSQL and steam). so it's in C:\\Program Files (x86)\\DAODB\\Data now.

I wouldn't recommend this method, because all you need todo is verify that it uses the database. And to keep things clean it should be the new and existing location used in any guide.

so if you had just used the configuredatabase on the existing folder you might had solved it without the mess of recreating a extinct location.

Simply pointing the toolset towards the database in programfiles, for some reason did not work for me. I have tried the solutions described at the toolset wiki and also several other methodes posted on forums.

Dont ask me why because i simply do not know, moving my database just automagically solved my problem
