Hey all quick question,

When I have almost any animation play in a cutscene, it plays fine but after it finishes there is a like a frame of the "T" pose before it goes back to the Neutral character pose. Its either that or it jumps a little, I know you can blend animations to each other, but can you blend animation to a character pose?

Thanks,
-D

I believe you can. It seems to me I read that it could be done but the weight of the pose had to be less than 100 or something like that? I think you need to play around with the weights. (I had the same experience but never followed up on testing this. Perhaps I'll give it a try this weekend.)

Thanks for your reply Beerfish, I tried what you asked, and changed the weight to 95 and it fixed the jump to "T" pose issue. However I'm still getting a jump from the difference of the end of the animation to the pose and it still looks slightly awkward.

Try lowering the weight further or lowering the weight of the animation. Play around with those and see if you get something better.,

Yeah I tried that, but the weight only affects the animation itself. Not how it blends back to the neutral pose sadly....

Hmph I remember somewhere in the past a developer talking about pose vs regular animations. I thought it had to do with weighting, perhaps not. Sorry I couldn't help.

I stand corrected, you were right.

When I was key-framing the weight, they were still on step. My bad mate, thanks again. :)

So you were successful in getting a smooth transition into and out of a pose? Can you detail on the forums how you accomplished this? There is another person asking essentially the same question as you had.
