I did the quest with Kylon to sort out the Pearl. I got the mercs to leave using dialogue. On the way back from the pearl to the market I got ambushed by the mercs. I beat them.

Sergeant Kylon wouldn't talk to me there (said I should go to the pearl and not kill the guys) and no cut scene, so I left the area.

Now I cannot complete this quest. Kylon in the market keeps telling me to go to the pearl, I go there and there are no mercs there.

Seems like this is royally bugged.

I am also having this issue... I persuaded the thugs to leave, killed all the back alley ambushes, and Kylon keeps saying to go to the Pearl and not kill them. I could reload an earlier save, but that'd involve an awful lot of back-tracking since I didn't check in with him right away. Any ideas?

So wait, how is it a 3 month old post regarding a large glitch, of which there is at least another thread on the same issue, has not been addressed? I have the same issue and I would have to do some significant backtracking if I have to reload to an earlier save.

Bump. Five months still no official fix :| i haven't tried but there is some way to fix it with toolset

I think the main problem is that most people haven't encountered this glitch. I know I haven't encountered it - everything went smooth for that quest.



The only way to be sure its not a random thing is to reload an earlier save - as annoying as that may be.

I just beat them up till they surrender at Pearl. It works like charm all the time.

I am not 100% sure, but I believe you must not talk to him. It's he that will initialize a dialogue as soon as he goes back to his initial area position (he might move during the battle).

Have you tried replaying the battle?

I've done much since the battle, not quite sure i want to try to replay it, unless it is really worth it. Do you know what kind of reward this quest gives?
