I'm getting this error message, out of the blue and apropos of nothing, about the Firewalker Pack whenever I start the game and log into the Cerberus Network. Normally, it would just be a minor annoyance, the Firewalker missions were rather sub-par anyway and I don't mind skipping them, but it also seems to make it impossible to load any saved games that were made with the DLC active...Namely ALL OF THEM.
So, is there a solution out there? At all?

This happens when the on-line activation system thinks you have a DLC installed that you're not entitled to. Since the Firewalker pack was free, it should be linked to your account
http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php
The fasted, but unofficial (therefore unsupported by BioWave, use at your own risk) way to fix this problem is to run this file
https://content.wual...Be&lang=en&dl=1
to manually activate the DLC. However, you have to deactivate the two on-line options (auto-login and feedback) in-game before running that file from the ME2 game directory. Also backup the file
C:\\\\Users\\\\USERNAME\\\\Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Mass Effect 2\\\\BIOGame\\\\Config\\\\BioPersistentEntitlementCache.ini (Win7 folder structure) because that one is getting modified by the crack.
The long, official fix would be to email customer support (no idea whether EA or BioWare is responsiblee for the activation servers) and request them to fix it.
