When choosing armor parts, it's better to boost Shield/Barrier or Health? Shield and Barrier go down very quickly, so I have chosen health boosting parts for my Infiltrator, especially that I loose shield very quickly and then swith on the cloak which prevents shield from regeneration

Powers bonus and armor bonus to shield/barrier do not combine... do they?

I dont want to use Cerberus, as I choose parts that boost my weapon damage and for the remaining parts I have to decide, whether to choose healt or shield boost.

For an Infiltrator? IMO Damage (weapon, melee, powers, headshots) > recharge > runspeed > whatever you think looks cool >>>>>>>>>>> health/shield bonus > ammo bonus.

Doesn't really matter whether you increase sheilds or health on an infiltrator. I went with health but other people have other preferences.  I do recommend the stimulator conduits over the life support webbing because they let you run faster, which is useful while cloaked. If you're a close quarters combat infiltrator, take the melee pads.

This.

Damage bonuses are great because usually offense is the best defense. Recharge bonus is also great because it can save you actual time instead of the silly fractions of a second you gain from a higher shield capacity on insanity.

Even though the 10% less recharge time is actually only .6 of a second so yeah that only saves a fraction of a second too.

That's still probably more time than 10 points of shielding is going to buy you.

Guessing you're having the most problem picking the chest piece. Seriously, just pick whatever you think looks best. It's not going to matter.

ok, chestplate that reduces shield recharge time should suit best. then, for the gauntlets: 3% weapon damage or 25% melee damage?

of course I play on Insanity as CQC Infiltrator and do not have any problems at all. just got some doubts about my armor set

Melee damage bonus is for shoulder pieces. And yeah, that's the best choice for CQC infiltrator. Weapon damage for pure sniper.

For gauntlets, you won't have many options until after the collector ship when you get heavy damping gauntlets and stabilization gauntlets, of which the latter is preferable (imo).

It depends on the class for me. My Soldier uses nothing but health buffs, but my Infiltrator focuses on weapon damage and a minor buff to shields. Then there's my Sentinel which is mostly about power damage and recharge, and my Vanguard which is almost entirely shield-centric.

What i tend to do is to maximise whatever stat i want. So instead of getting 10% of a few things, i try to get the most of certain stat (like 25% health, or 18% shields with N7 armour) because the bonuses are so small that i feel the only way of making them noticeable and worthwhile to have is to maximise them.

That said, i usually like to go for shields or health, as i really don´t notice any significant difference with the damage bonuses. At least with shields/health, you can know exactly how much you are getting from the armour. In the end i think the bonuses are of very little notice, and you are better picking the armour to get certain combos (like a soldier with the +10% storm speed to run even faster, or a vanguard with the 25% melee damage) which are definitely noticeable. Other than that you could pick your armour based on looks and the difference would be minimal.
