If you visit the Gamspot E3 floor plan and look at the EA booth it is now showing Mass Effect 3 as in attendance at E32010.  Slip up or just wishful thinking of their E3 planners?

Do anyone think that DA2 will have a high level of continuity (esp characters) to DA1? Just as ME2 to ME1?

It's just wishful thinking.
EA has dismissed these claims.

They've said somewhere that Dragon Age 2 will be a clean slate - no importing over from Dragon Age 1. The only character that is guaranteed to survive is Morrigan, after all.

"We can confirm that the listing of Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2 was indeed an error that is currently being corrected," said an EA spokesperson."

Reading that again... they've confirmed that it was an error for GameSpot to list Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2, but they didn't confirm whether those two will or will not be at E3.

That is probably smart on the part of BioWare/EA.. imagine all the.. "Wut!? My modded blue elf with pink anime hair and Morrigan's robe won't import properly!!" ...threads if they DID make PCs importable.

I'd say it's more likely to be an expansion pack for ME2. possibly this mythical liara/shadowbroker story, or more likely whatever they have planned to link ME2 to ME3.

I think the DA writers were more worried about how complicated the story would get if they carried over all the decisions made from the last game.

It's much easier to start over again using the same material, but making up a new "canon" story for the player.

But I still like the importing system of ME series, it is very good to see the old friends reappearing:happy:

I'm expecting to see Dragon Age 2 at E3. The "release" date is in February 2011, which would take place before E3 '11, so this would be the best time to get some stuff out there.

Mass Effect 3, however, no way in cold blue hell. Not only the fact that it's currently slated for a late 2011 release, which means next year's E3 would be better placed for it, but also that Bioware has said that they want to keep it close to the chest until close to release time. Meaning we might not even see it at next years E3 and they'll just announce it and put out trailers on their own, but putting out a huge game at E3 would get it a ton of publicity.

Let's not forget that BioWare's The Old Republic is coming to E3 for the second time.

2 hours? Its gonna be freaking midnight in here! Screw time zones.. I haven't slept for 2 days, I'm not gonna do that again just for some announcement that probably isn't coming.

If they do talk about Mass Effect 3, literally all I need to hear is this:

"Any squadmates who survived the suicide mission will remain with you for Mass Effect 3 as squadmates."

Bioware tells me that, they've got an instant sale.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but you're assuming a couple things here:

1) Bioware doesn't care about their fans.
2) They would gain more "potential" fans than they would lose "current" fans.

2nd is possible, the 1st statement: I'm not sure as an epic community event not-attendant.
