I played DA:O in November and haven't picked it up since then because I was too busy at the time.  Well, I'm done with the semester and am now picking it back up to finally complete it.

Anyway, I'm playing the game using the hdtv cables on my hdtv, and so far the graphics have been really pixelated.

During scenes where your character is suppose to be out of focus while you're speaking to another character, instead of being blurry, its just really pixelated.  Scenery looks the same as well.

I don't think its a problem with my xbox or tv because Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2 play beautifully.

I've noticed that my friend plays his copy on a really old big screen tv and it looks just fine.  I can't imagine not using the HDTV settings as I have an HDTV and all my other games play fine on it and as I recall, this game did too.

I recently downloaded Awakenings and the updates, would that have anything to do with it?  Should I just redownload the game to my hard drive? 

Any suggestions?

Perhaps if you delete and reinstall the game in the HD, (or installing the game in the HD if you haven't)?... I'm "playing" the game in a HDTV with Awakenings and the updates, too, but everything is in my HD and I've got no graphical problems... but what you describe is bizarre, since the rest of your games play with no problems...
