of the Mass Effect trilogy to see what happens with all these
characters and storylines started by the first two games.

And in his Bestbuy interview he says almost the exact opposite.

CaseyH-ME2: We actually want to
make sure these characters survive the ME2 story, which ultimately is a
suicide mission: some of your crew will almost certainly die. Some of
the ME1 characters are back, and recruitable (more than you might
think), and the ones that aren't still play an important role in the
story and will be around for ME3 - which we can't say for the new
characters.

Without being for or against any particular issue, using anything Hudson says as "proof" of something is pretty laughable.

Yeah, that tells us exactly nothing.  Totally ambiguous as to the depth of the roles.

It does tell us that they at least want us to think that may be what they mean.

Not much, but it's something.

Well, he's quite aware that introducing the returning squadmates is part of the pre-ME3 release marketing strategy/hype machine. He wouldn't want to ruin the fun this early in development.

At the same time, it's early enough in development that it could change - but at least it's evidence that more than 1 of the 17 squadmates will return.

So right now, we're at least 2 for 17!

Regardless of what has been said in interviews, we the fanbase can still show support for the idea of bringing all characters back in ME3.

Actually, no I wouldn't prefer more.  More isn't always better.  I'd rather have 6 quality and fulfilling squad members than 16 shallow and completely ignorable ones.

i always figured they would do this anyway, its either bring back all surving sqaudmates for the final battle or introduce a new sqaud composed of 80% newbies again,seeing as its the final chapter of the main trilogy im guessing biowares done adding new sqaudmates.They may add 2 or 3 new ones just for the sake of adding new stuff.But i could be wrong of course. heres too hopeing our Fav charecters stand by or side once more

Yep, she is one of the two.  Liara, Virmire survivor and new members.
