I support the entire crew returning as squadmates in ME3.

But then, that's just my personal taste. Each to their own.

I can't begrudge you for your opinion, though I disagree with it.

At the same time, we don't know if Vido Santiago could be a significant plot flag as well.Nivenus wrote...
The DLC from ME1 was only imported as brief references, so I hardly think that's an example of a guarantee that Kasumi and Zaeed will be included. Kasumi's gray box though does seem to be a big giant plot hook.

True, though Vido and the Blue Suns seem somewhat insignificant compared with what looks like a Reaper. But you have a point. It may come up.
Plus, Zaeed's free, while Kasumi's not, so he's got a higher chance of being recruited.

Weren't the Blue Suns involved in retrieving Shepard's body or something?Nivenus wrote...

I wonder what Vido Santiago was doing after the Normandy SR-1 attack...

Haven't read all of Redemption yet, so you could be right. They did show up in the first issue, though. I know the Shadow Broker was involved.

Maybe that's why Vido was offering Shepard to betray Zaeed and join him right before the YMIR mech in Zaeed's loyalty mission.Nivenus wrote...

Zaeed might as well go and retake the Blue Suns, to use as a good guy, or even to chase Shepard in a shocking twist (as far as we know he's still on cerberus payroll), again, I'm being optimistic, I doubt Bioware will go to such lenghts just for ol' Zaeed.

Not if you have AI hacking. Just knock down its shields and armor with some well-placed heavy weapons shots and hit it with the hacking. Then blow it away and gone.
Who says tech powers are useless?

Er... no, you don't. Mass Effect was designed as a trilogy from the ground up. The whole point is that it'll be a follow-up. Also, after seeing your line about VAs, it gave me the impression you didn't read the OP, you should do that from now-on.Marah_Fayne wrote...
In the end, you want a NEW game - not a follow-on with all the same people.

Heh. I figured somebody might make a comment like that.
Ok, on topic: I was just thinking: How is BW going to take away our Squad in ME3 anyway? I mean yeah, there are a million ways they could do it, just blow up the Normandy again, or let our team be captured by Cerberus/Alliance, or simply start the game two months or so after ME2 and half the team has already left *off-screen* for some obscure reasons. But I can't think of any way that gives us a plausible reason why they are suddenly all gone.

Tier 1 (Major Fan favourites, Major Li, Main Plot related)
Tali
Garrus
Liara
Ashley/Kaidan
Tier 2 (Minor Fan favourites, Minor Li, Side Plot related)
Miranda
Legion
Mordin
Kasumi
Wrex
Thane
Jack
Jacob
Tier 3 (Smaller fan base, some redundancy with other characters)
Samara/Morinth
Zaeed
Grunt
So if you take all the Tier 1 and Tier 2 characters, theres 12 there and I dont think many people will be upset about that list.
Although personally I hate the idea of Jacob over Zaeed and Samara just because hes a Li.
However some people think 12 is too much and 6 was too little.
If they went with 8 squadmates. I'll draft..
Tali, Garrus, Liara, (Ashley or Kaidan), Miranda, Legion, Mordin, (Wrex or Grunt)
This way maleshep has 4 past Li and femshep has 3. Just the Drell race missing.
If they went with 10 squadmates. I'll add Thane and Kasumi. Evens out the femshep Li list and Kasumi has a good fan base.
If you are only porting 2 squadmates over from your ME2 save because you killed the rest, then you can add Liara and Ashley/Kaidan to those 2. At this point I cant imagine Bioware to have any new squadmates over the established ones, there will be riots from their fanbase.

I'd personally go with the love interests + Legion as being the most likely to return. The others not returning would produce less backlash.
Legion has the best chance to come back because he is so importent. Without Legion, you have no contact with the Geth.

That's not really fair to the other squadmates, now is it?Collider wrote...

I'd like to think either Grunt or Wrex will be a squadmate, mainly because I doubt they'll want to make a third Krogan character.
Mordin could stay on the Normandy to run the science labs, but we'll probably find some other Salarian to do the fighting for him.

Mordin being in the science lab with dialog would work well, and I would rather have Wrex my self, but if we can't then I would take Grunt. No team is complete without a Krogan.
