So I transferred my rogue archer to Awakening from DA:O.... at the end of Origins he was doing around 50-60 with his normal attacks.  In Awakening using the accuracy sustained skill now getting critical hits for every attack doing 180-200 damage.  Add the repeater gloves from rto and I think this Awakening playthrough might be easier than the DW warrior if that is possible lol.

Awesome :) I'm looking forward to trying out the awakenings archery talents, not too far off finishing origins with my archer.

Yeah, Accuracy is a pretty absurdly powerful ability, especially when stacked with Aim and a bunch of rapid aim items. By the time my rogue archer finished Awakening I was hitting non critically in the range of 150-250 with criticals reaching well over 400 and more than a few times I saw Arrow of Slaying hit for nearly 800.

I never even bothered with AoS... scattershot plus the other new aoe ability was more than enough to kill most everything except bosses.

Oh man this is absurd. Even on Nightmare everything dies in one or two shots. Surely Accuracy is bugged? It can't be intended to be this good.

Heh--yeah, archers go from tricky in DA:O to godly in DA:A.

I'm just gonna refuse to use that skill. I chose solo archer for the challenge. I don't want a friggin cakewalk.

does combat stealth actually work as good as it sounds to make rogue archers superior? sounds like you could AoS, stealth and wait for cooldown, then AoS again......rinse and repeat....

I'd say the cooldown for AoS is a little too long to use it exclusively, but a great opening move is to AoS from stealth to take out a mage (for example) right away.  Since the cooldown on Stealth is only 10 seconds, it's still a great way to turn regular hits into criticals during a battle.

That would be... really, really boring.

Hmm been awhile since I played Awakening - I noticed Nathanial critting for 600s and higher with Arrow of Slaying though. I stopped using him in my party when I noticed he was, to put it lightly, raping face.

Unrelenting Assault or whatever, the 4th tier dual-wield ability, is ridiculous also. Killing bosses in 5 seconds on Nightmare is overkill.

Heh, yeah. When you have your rogue archer going for direct hits (I don't use AoS or the crit skill) and let Nathaniel go on Rain of Arrows, you have some 'where did all the bad guys go?' moments.

If you're looking to feel like a demigod, that would pretty much be the way to go. :)

Well I play on Nightmare so if I set Nathanial to auto-fire Rain of Arrows without directing it myself it pretty much is a gauranteed melee party wipe.

It was an auto-set skill initially and I had no idea why my party was dying at first.
