I really like the achievement system but I wish there were some more interesting ones. Why not have something like "kill an ogre alpha without taking damage", or "defeat a revenant using only melee weapons" etc.

I suppose they're not as easily trackable as the other achievements, but it would be great to have lots of mini objectives like that to try and fulfill.

Why not just do that for your own satisfaction? If that's what you're into, there's no need for a scoreboard. In fact the scoreboard is just another piece of code that can break and develop bugs, takes time to build and contributes nothing to the actual game (except needless bugs).
