I think my Male City elf playthrough was by far the most successful in addition to being my favorite due to the fact that he was a 2H warrior and rarely died!. But I liked the origin because you get to storm that douchebag vaughn's estate and kill him and what can I say I love playing as an oppressed underclass. But I was dissapointed when there was no dialouge option like "Oh don't worry storming the Urian estate won't be hard I've done it once already" when you have to rescue the queen from howe.

haha yes!  I spent a lot of the time during the hunt for Howe thinking..

To get back on track... I enjoyed the City Elf Origin very much. It's actually very well written and you want to fight the dark spawn because there are people you do care about who will suffer should he fails.

- Did your CEF want to get married?

No at first. And then he changed his mind after talking to Soris and decided to just be a good daddy's boy after seeing things through Soris's eyes.

He had another change of heart after learning that the change of the wedding date is to "prevent" Duncan from taking him.

But his heart was not in being a Grey Warden. He is just frustrated at being told what to do all his life.

- Did you become the Bann or give the title to Shianni?

He let Shianni take the title. He loved his freedom too much.

- Do you prefer the MCE or the FCE??

I like both. But being male in RL, it is easier to enter the minds of the MCE character.

- What's your class?

Rogue. I tried a Fighter.. doesn't seems right. A rogue who does MUG the humans as Alistair descibed makes more sense.

- who did your CE romance??
Morrigan. In a perverse way, my CE enjoys the insults. :innocent:

anyways... anyone know how to make CE's... well..less...pinched looking? I love that origin... but my PC's always look sickly...gaunt faced skinny neck....ughhh.

sadly I don't. I have DA on PS3 first and I finely broke down and got it on PC just so all my characters could look better...and have ears like all the other elves as well. I hate that normally you are the only elf with weird flat ears.

At first?,,,no way She was too in love with her freedom how ever seeing her betrothed made her figure there was worse ways to spend one's life....of course Vaughan's attack changed everything.

Shianni ended up with it since she was still alive....Killian, not so much

- How did you RP your CEF?
classic tragic heroine, spreading  her love of life and adventure to everyone she met. She made Alistair a kind of replacement for Soris and was even starting to fall for the noble hearted GW then was kind of heartbroken when he cut things off to be with Anora. Leliana fell madly for her and eventually my girl returned those feelings after meeting Margie and seeing what Leliana came from and what HER life might have been like if she had not been recruited by Duncan. Morrigan's betrayal hit her hard and she saw the DR offer as a betrayal. In the end she sacrificed her life finally knowing why the best storues she heard from Leliana always ned in death ...because that is how life is

Female...like everyone else that sword slide will live on in my memories as one of the single coolest moments a BW game has givee me.

First time was Alistair then Leliana
I recently rolled a male and that one will be a Morrigan romance. I've also rerolled another female who i think will fall for Zev

Incidentally how can I get that ears sticking out look? I have tried every way I could think of at CC but I can't seem to get the look right. Is it a PCmod or is there a way on the console?

I always thought that was weird. I mean, if you live and don't want the job you can pass it on to Shianni or just say 'give it to someone else' and maybe then they turn to your father? Do you just not feel he's qualified by Anora/Alistair do? Could they not find Shianni or she wouldn't come to the funeral so they made the dad the bann instead?

How so? Your race makes only 4 stat points difference, and if you´re on the PC not even that thanks to respec mod.
 The only thing it affects is the dialogue and your looks, but not the gameplay.



On topic: City Elf is definitely my favourite origin, and Shianni is the best NPC in the game.

no, she will not be an evil airhead, but I will use some of the dialog choices through the game that I normally would not because they just sound silly. (for example:win you win the landsmeet use the option "ha. you lose." )

I guess it helps that my girl would be kidnapped but not raped. though she has to be smart enough to know what happened to Shianni, right?

if I was ever going to write a fanfic it would be with my new idea, but I don't know if I'll actually write it.

in other news..I just can't seem to make a City Elf that is a warrior it just doesn't make since to me. I can get rouge, but not a warrior.

I've made some dalish rouges. yeah, warrior might fit a bit better, but I can at least see it. and I like being able to open locks in the origin and at ostagar. (now I have the lock bash mod I don't have to worry about that as much)



I've made some human noble rouges as well (I usually play as female so maybe that's why it doesn't bug me as much) to me it's about the attitude I want to give my human noble...sometimes warrior just doesn't fit.

My "Noble rogue" is a warrior at heart.

But she was also a bratty little sister who believed in invading her brother's privacy, so she learned to pick locks!
