I also agree... dalish, dwarf commoner are rogue classes while the noble dwarf, human noble are warrior clases....Mage is obivous and CE I can see going how you RP

Hmn. I find that Dwarf Commoner or City Elf lends itself as easily to Warrior as it does to Rogue. A Dwarf Commoner Warrior fits particularly well, since you are a thug and leg-breaker for the carta, have a reputation as a mean fighter, and win the Provings against some very well-decorated Warrior-caste dudes.

I've made some dalish rouges. yeah, warrior might fit a bit better, but I can at least see it. and I like being able to open locks in the origin and at ostagar. (now I have the lock bash mod I don't have to worry about that as much)

I've made some human noble rouges as well (I usually play as female so maybe that's why it doesn't bug me as much) to me it's about the attitude I want to give my human noble...sometimes warrior just doesn't fit.

My "Noble rogue" is a warrior at heart.

But she was also a bratty little sister who believed in invading her brother's privacy, so she learned to pick locks!

She's only trying to be a good little sister. Image IPB

Edit: My DN was the same way...

I always see DC, CE and DE better as rogues and DN and HN better as warriors. For some reason to me it makes sense that the poorer, hated origins would take on roguish aspects (stealing money, hiding from guards/shems, etc.) while the richer origins would have all the training to be fully fledged warriors. It's just my own opinion though, it just seems to make a bit more sense to me.

I rp'd my Aeducan (a rogue) as a Lady Lara Croft type, and while she didn't steal and/or do anything dirty, the duel wielding aspect of being a dagger rogue and the cunning/nimble side really suited her character.

The noble being a rogue works especially well for the dwarves i'd imagine. With their literally cut throat politics some cunning and poison can come a long way.

Ah I forgot, rebelious little Wardens don't count :) I'm really accounting for ones that would follow family tradition or for sensical survival. But some are forgiven if it comes to certain ways they're rp'd.

Oh and I'm curious about this, what happens when you return to the Alienage with a CE who accepted the Bann's money? How do people react? (TBH I just can't bring myself to accept the bribe with my elves, it's just seems so traitorous and dishonourable to your family, even for the greedy ones. Especially since your cousin is lying right there on the floor beside him...)

Well not necessarily. It makes sense for nobles to be experienced in spying, assassination etc... (= rogue) because these are helpful skills for someone who is forced to bother with olitics.

On the other hand it makes sense for commoners to be warriors - you know, like the ghetto kids in RL you spend all your time exercising for strong muscles and bullying the ones who are weaker:devil::devil:

Plus my girl was raised to be a politician, and since rogues have the natural cunning... (Not to mention she was prone to flirting if it got her what she wanted.)

One of the few characters of mine who, from an RP standpoint, looked forward to the Landsmeet. My Dalish was just like "WHY am I doing this again?" and my CEF wanted to flip them all off...

I made my airheaded CEF a rouge because she uses flirting to get her way most of the time. her mom taught her how to talk her way out of things and use daggers which is one of the only things she has found she's good at (and the one thing that has nothing to do with her looks) she most surly has "licked a lamppost or two", but is happy about getting married to a good looking guy (her father assured her of that) and plans to be faithful to him...she just wants to make him extra happy.

dang it..I swore I'd never write a fanfic now I'm really considering.

As was pointed out above, CE Warrior makes a lot of sense. The Alienage is a tough place. With the leg up your mother gives you with her training, you follow through, either as a thug for hire (which seems unlikely given how your father is) or as someone who just wants to get on with her life unmolested (a la P G Wodehouse).

I took the plunge and made my first art picture. it is a recreation of this shot I took in the game:

I've never done that but considering you took a bribe and left Shianni, Valora and the bridesmaid there to be Vaughan and his bully boys' playthings I think its safe to assume that they will end up hating your guts.  Would be interesting to see what the Guardian says in the Gauntlet in that instance too.
