Diablo
Gaming classic right here. I remember playing a demo with a friend when I was 7-8. It all climaxed with a terrifying encounter with the Butcher. This game still scares me.

Ahh yeah, Tristram is really a classic. I think I was 9 or something when I first played the demo, I loved it. Fortunately, my dad and my brother loved it too, so they bought the full game :D. Geez, so many gaming hours went into that... it also was my first online game. What a revolution. And so many surprised reactions when I told them I was a girl (WOW YOU'RE A GIRL?!) and only 10 years old. I never understood what was so special about that, lol.

The Butcher always scared me, too. More than Diablo himself . "Aaahhhh, FRESH MEAT!"

Yes ! I remember playing Diablo with my sister and it was like - Let's kill this Spiky Guy and find Diablo -  Wait, what ? The End movie ?

The Butcher, on the other hand...

One Must Fall 2097 theme is badass! One of the best videogame themes ever made. Sometimes I would just leave the game to play this in the background and do something else.

Cammy's theme is one of my favorites out of Street Fighter. The original version is still the best too. :) I like a few of the remixes but they don't compare to the source material.

Samurai Shodown - Foreign Girl (Charlotte's Theme)

X-Men vs Street Fighter - Cammy's Theme
This being the theme for the still brainwashed Cammy that doesn't appear in as many games.

Street Fighter III - Theme of Q
Why isn't he in SSF4?! :crying: Bleh.

Final Fantasy II: Battle with the Four Fiends (I know it's IV, but damn right you nostalgia for when it was II)

Crash Bandicoot Warped: Orient Express (my favorite levels in that game)

Majora's Mask: Clock Town, Third Day (same basic tune as day one, but there's a frantic, uneasy strain that really makes you remember the ticking clock. Coincides well with the little earthquakes that happen that day, too)

SC music is also brilliant.
Meh favorite : Terran 1, especially the first part, from Brood Wars.

My brain has taken some damage from playing BW too much, (especially massing marines one to many times) I keep hearing the SCV-mining sound in my head when the song starts, and a few seconds later I keep thinking "SCV good to go" and "we got to move".

Ah, Mecuron, I just noticed the tracks you posted on page two. Guardian Heroes was a great game with a sweet soundtrack. Hearing that third track brought back fond memories of bouncing Valgar off Nicole's force field while my friend beat him senseless in mid air. Good times.

Star Control II - Hyperspace (3DO Version)

Tempest 2000 - The Mind's Eye
Superzapper Recharge!

Battle Arena Toh Shin Den Remix - Duke's Theme

The original Mute City track, from F-Zero on SNES

Hmm, I completely forgot about that game until I just read your post, and after all the time my brother and I put into that game.

I said I was going to move onto another console, but I enjoy too much the reminiscence that the nes brings.

Yep, her force field was utter cheapness against the big robots, just get them into a corner and let it go for tons of hits or a lot of block damage if they managed to block. Makes up for the fact that Nicole was forever falling over just while you were trying to walk around and that her healing was complete randomness. I favored Randy myself - easy to do some sick combos with him.

Ahhhh, I could listen to this music all day. I still remember the first time I ever played the game, I was in awe at the size of the world.

I favored Randy too at first. Well, my very first character Genjuro but I quickly moved on after discovering how unwieldy his play style was. Problem was, one of my friends favored Randy too. Eventually I got so used to Nicole that when another friend went with Hahn instead, I stuck with her. Plus I like her whiny dialogue at times. XD

Everything about her was so random. The only reliable thing was using her trip move in a combo and that spin into the air she did. I used sometimes do the smiley drop and heal several times in a row to force a desired effect. Barrier was her best move though. Super cheap, as noted. Our entire boss strategy often amounted to my friend and I cornering the boss, then him getting the boss to block so I could active Force Field and nuke him. Good stuff. B)

I don't know how you did it, but I could never pick just one , Chrono Cross Soundtrack.

Here's a Playstation favorite of mine, Legend of Mana.

Chrono Cross is one of the only PS1 soundtracks I own. I found a few tracks on disc two forgettable but most of the soundtrack was gold. It's funny that game will probably be remembered more for its music than anything else as times marches on.
