I was simply wondering this, as making a dwarven character would be the last on my list of 'what to level' (Currently on about 30% with a Human Mage)... Now if you encounter the Sloth demon (Circle tower, main quest line) as a dwarven PC... Do you get stuck into the fade as well? Because isn't that impossible? "...but are unable to become mages as they have no connection to the Fade."
Just wondering for those that have passed it as a dwarven hero.

ya, even shale gets pulled into the fade. they might not have an affinity for magic, but they can still dream (i believe) and anytime you dream, your spirit is sent to the fade. the sloth demon just forces it.

dwarf PC do get pulled into the fade true but its only humans and elves that go to the fade when they dream. the dwarves have no affinity with the fade whatsoever, dreaming, casting magic, etc. etc. dont ask me how the sloth demon pulls you in then but seeing as the PC is the first character to realise its not real (possible exception of morrigan although she doesnt do anything about it till you show up) it kinda worked anyway, at least for me.
