I dowloaded the additional content and have completed both quests had a nice set of armour etc for my tank at some point this has dissapeared  along with the base you get with the wardens keep addon is this intentional or a glitch it is very anoying as i have to go way way back to regain these items from a save

Same here. Lost my wardens keep rewards, didn't notice Shale was messed up too until I talked to him and fell through the world. The Shale quest is now showing as unfinished, even though he is standing in my camp and groups with me. If I try to talk to him I fall through the world, every time, which is a rather strange glitch >.<.
