Also, how have they optimized the mineral scanner? I'm too lazy to check now.

Bioware should just change the Retrain Powers upgrade so it affects all squad members instead of just Shepard. Hell, include it in the Overlord DLC - maybe it's an upgrade you pick up during the quest?
As for the removable helmets, it'd be cool, but it seems like too much work to bother.
Indeed, the helmet off thing is minor, but still it is too much to ask?Yhdexan wrote...

Not too much work at all since all the armors (preorder and Collectors) come with the helmets off in Kasumi's DLC Loyalty Mission. When Shepard pulls the armor from the hidden draw these armors don't have the helmets attached to them. With this already in place all BioWare had to do was to include this in a patch, but nope... again, another oversight.
I hope they care enough to have the helmets off patch sometime soon.

I really hate the whole closing of the infinate squad points glitch thing. Personally I rarely used it, only when I needed to, but still this whole level up system in ME2 needs to go for ME3. ME's level up system worked great because nothing was wasted and why fix what isn't broken. And clearly this new system is broken and needs to go.
Balanced maybe, effective no. I have played though the game multiple times and often have at least 4 or 5 squadmates with left over squad points. In ME, one could put those points into a power, even if it didn't upgade it, and still have it be worth something. In ME2 you can't and they just go to waste.kraidy1117 wrote...

It's not broken. The new level up system is alot more balance compared to ME.

Well that is awesome. If I don't get the patch apparently I can't be allowed to play my game. It will not allow me to load any of my saved games. I personally like the point glitch. So I figured I would just hold off on it till I had one of each type of spec created. Well, awesome now that I can't even play anything short of a new game ?maybe?
Dang kids complaining about a glitch they don't have to use so they can sound like they are awesome at games..."I play on insanity with no cheats and it is so easy." gah. When you or bioware start giving me free games, you can tell me how to play them.
Ok rant over, feel better now, guess I will download the stupid patch.

That could solve everything....but duno why Bio only let that be for Shepherd...Medicus1990 wrote...

The level up system worked and was good so the transfer didn't happen why? The only things I can think of is that it worked too well, or having all the skills avaliable was a bad thing. If I remember you still had to unlock skills so why not bring that system back in ME3. Anyway the skills weren't powerful until they were leveled up a little.Spartas Husky wrote...

The leveling system is great, in idea. THey just didn't put enough time into it.
If you pass the game....while testing it...I can't believe somebody didn't even notice...."hey I got some points left...that I could have used in another skill.....maybe that will upset others???....nah nah is fine lets just move on"
heck like in ME1. When you passed the game, all points went back to reserve, and all skills were avilable. It worked very well in ME1 why didn't they transfered it to ME2.That could solve everything....but duno why Bio only let that be for Shepherd...Medicus1990 wrote...

Anyway
a retrain powers thing for the whole squad would be a good thing to add
in the future.
The ME system worked and needs to come back for
ME3

I don't know if it is a glich but I annoys me to the extreme that you have to play as a pure Paragon or Renegade to maintain the loyality of Jack and Miranda. I have maxed out my Paragon Meter but I still can't get the Charm option to tell Jack if I took Miranda's side or Miranda if I took Jacks side to take a chill pill.
I wish they would explain how the Charm and Intimadate work in relation to your Paragon/Renegade scale. I makes no sense to me.

Yeah I know right? I mean who really cares when we're just going to mod them anyway.
I just had a good laugh at the new gigantic scanner that went from taking up maybe 10% of the visible side of a planet to taking about 30% of the visible side of a planet and they made it much faster too......but it's not like I'll ever actually scan anything again so I don't really care. Scanning doesn't need to be fixed it needs to be eliminated for good....just have the game start with 1 million in each of the four minerals always, no matter what, regardless of whether someone has already played ME2 or not and regardless of whther it's a new game, ME1 import or NG+.

Currently this patch is only for the 360, but a patch for the PC version of Mass Effect 2 is in the works and we will have details as soon as they are ready.
- Scanning for minerals has been optimized
