youve definitely got a tip from my hat
They,(like all game companies) only care about money. Keeping the fans
happy means more money for future projects. Releasing a patch like this
is to make(most) fans happy so that they may continue buying their
products in the near future. Other than that, they really don't give a
damn.

You know that it is possible that, oh I don't know, actually care. Yes they probably want you to keep buying their games, like everybody that makes things, but seriously, maybe that they released the patch because they listen and actually care about gamers having an enjoyable experience while using their product. Talk about a negative attitude.CodyMelch wrote...

EA and their shareholders care about profit, but I doubt BioWare's biggest concern is money unless it's to continue funding their project.CodyMelch wrote...

I assume that the majority of people at BioWare do not get significant raises in salary for "keeping the fans happy" and that the people who work there actually like what they do for a living.
That is why companies like Infinity Ward crumble when their publishers try to dictate everything and accuse them of breaking the rules. Their employees don't get paid to put up with Activision's tyranny, they get paid to make the game.

Meh, I suppose. Though I'm not going to hold my breath. I think the worst out of people. It's served me well so far in life.
Like my grandad use to say "think wrong, and you'll be right"
Hell even Garrus says it LOL.
Either way it works.
If you think wrong and your accurate, your the only one who was ready, and there is nothing more pleasurable than to tell an idealist... "IN YO FACE".
On the other hand, if you think wrong and your....well wrong, you get that warm feeling of "he/she is a good guy....unlike many, I am glad to have met him/her"
no matter the way your always pleasantly surprised.
As if your naive and always think everyone is good, you'll more often get bad surprises rather than good ones

Hopefully it doesn't undo the extra talent points for my existing characters, or I'm going to be extremely PO'd.

I would never have done my 2nd and 3rd playthroughs without the ability to mod my mineral/credit counts (PC player), so I'm happy for you chaps
Only thing that got be back after 2 playthroughs to ME2 was be able to take that one damn point offf certain characters.

Well, unlike ME2, DA 1.03 is still disappointing.

P.S. to answer Aryck1095 V2, the new patch doesn't reset the points of existing characters. I checked on my Vanguard Shep if the cheat still worked (it don't) but the points from using the cheat before the patch were still there.

I rather stay with my choices of points. The scanner is not a big deal. Thanks to wiki I know exactly what planets to farm, and where on them exactly. No need to over farm so
Still hoping I can bypass the patch and still get overlord.....if not then ME2 is going into my closet with my n64 til me3 comes out

I actually look forward to another playthrough. Now if I could only skip the beginning cut scene....
Reminds me of AS 1....the only reason why I passed it once and then left it to rot, is because of the damn old guy always talking

1) it makes getting xbox achievements easier - microsoft is very strict about earning those achievements.
2) I remember hearing that ME2 was designed differently from ME1, in that you will have a more seamless import from ME2 into ME3. This specifically related to the skills, points and level 30 cap of ME2. Those amounts of points per level could actually be apart of a greater balance when importing into ME3.
Anyway, like I said earlier, if you want your characters/shep to be able to use the A+X glitch, then make your save files before you go online to get the patch..
lastly, there is no reason to complain about cheating in a single player game. I mod the heck out of ME2 on PC and it is a great experience. Consoles don't allow for mods, but there is no shame or harm in experiencing a single player game the way the player wants to. Truthfully, beating the game on insanity, ME2's most difficult achievement, is still pretty easy, so its not like their is a high demand for bragging rights about beating the game on insanity.
Last one of the day for me, Thank you Bioware!

You can't skip getting the patch when you try to get overlord. The update screen opens before the main loading screen does. If you have overlord, You have this patch. You can still avoid this patch by playing offline but you won't be able to download any more DLC...
Also, I'm suprized anybody other than me still has an N64 in this day and age. I thaught they would all be in eletronics museums or something...

Probably not going to be possible since if you load but don't DL the patch it will close your connection with XBL, therefore you won't be able to apply the Overlord DLC without being connected and getting today's patch.Spartas Husky wrote...

But honestly there's no huge reason to get 100% all skills, and if you have a save file with it already you can jump into Overlord with all skills still applied.
